TrustMedis Trying to Present Health Facility Information System Solutions in Indonesia

Only about 20% of all health facilities in Indonesia already have a good information system

PT Trust Solutions Indonesia (TrustMedical) is an IT company based in Surabaya. The company has the main activity of development for mobile devices to report the solution-based and provide comprehensive consulting services in the implementation of information technology, especially in the health sector.

Achmad Zulkarnain Al Jufri, founder and CEO of TrustMedis, explained that the initial spirit of establishing TrustMedis was that there were still many health facilities (faskes) that had difficulty managing information systems. For example, less efficient, double recording, and ultimately harm the hospital itself.

In its development, he continued, TrustMedis is a hospital management information system (SIMRS) with three types of services, namely: e-Doctor, e-Clinic, and e-Hospital. In addition, there are modules for inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, pharmacy, medical support, administrator, finance, human resource management (HRM), customer relationship management (CRM), blood bank, nutrition installation, management, inventory, and accounting.

"All services offered by TrustMedis have been integrated with BPJS Kesehatan. TrustMedis also serves online registration, display queue systems, and e-kios," he told DailySocial, Tuesday (16/8).

He added, from a system that has been integrated with BPJS Health, this can help all participants because there are medical records that are stored and can be accessed by all health facilities that have become BPJS partners. Moreover, 2018 is the latest time for all health facilities to become partners and integrate with BPJS.

TrustMedis can be used by all health facilities engaged in the health sector, ranging from independent doctor practices, clinics and health centers, specialist hospitals, general hospitals, insurance, patients, distributors of drugs and medical devices, to the government.

It claims a number of advantages offered compared to other competitors, such as web-based applications, using software development Model Hierarchal Model View Controller (HMVC), can make Application Programming Interface (FIRE). From the side UI, there is a validation system so that it can minimize human error when entering data.

In terms of system standard settings, master data is available and can be done by hospitals so that they are not dependent on vendors. It provides two options that can be chosen to access it via the internet or intranet with prices ranging from 30 million to billions of Rupiah.

Currently, he continued, TrustMedis has been used by 100 health facilities spread across Surabaya, Sidoarjo, several cities in East Java, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, and Makassar. This year his party will begin to explore new locations in Jakarta and its surroundings.

In terms of business potential, in 2014 there were 2.006 hospitals in Indonesia, 2.307 maternity hospitals, 7.396 polyclinics, 9.908 health centers, 24.949 sub-health centers, and 8.977 pharmacies. Of all health facilities, only 20% already have a good information system.

Launch MedicalMap

In order for TrustMedis brand promotion to be more Massive, the company launched a new startup with a niche online doctor booking service named MedicalMap. According to Achmad, MedisMap is in the form of an application that offers facilities for finding doctors, nearest health facilities, and online bookings on smartphones and websites.

Achmad explained, MedisMap was established after going through a development process since December 2015 with an investment of 1 billion Rupiah from personal funds. According to him, there is one main strength that can differentiate MedisMap from similar startups. Namely, there is a medical record facility that can be accessed by doctors because this application is integrated with TrustMedis.

Medical records are needed by doctors when they want to analyze the disease suffered by their patients. Unfortunately, this has not been fully accommodated by the government.

In order to attract more interest, MedisMap will intensify a number of strategic partnerships. For example collaborating with startups in other fields, such as transportation. Meanwhile, for MedisMap users from Surabaya, they can use Ojesy (Sharia motorcycle taxi). In addition, strategic cooperation with the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI).

Need investors

Achmad said that currently his party needs new investors for server expansion needs, adding programmers, and marketing. Apparently, there are already a number of investors who have shown interest, including from Korea, Singapore, India, and local.

"So far there have been several prospective [investors] who have approached us. We also have to make another selection so that we can get the right investors according to our vision and mission," he concluded.

In Indonesia, there are quite a number of startup players engaged in the health sector. Say there is Consulate, Lokadok, HelloDoctor, AskDock, hiDoctor, patient, DoctorHealthy, Doctor on standby, practical, Which doctor, Doctor.idand ChooseDoctor.

However, Achmad openly said that Konsula was a competitor to MedisMap in a head to head manner and PT Buana Varia Komputama is a competitor to TrustMedis.
