Practo Collaborates with Uber to Provide Ease of Traveling to See a Doctor

practical, one of the largest healthcare platforms in Asia that recently started operating in Indonesia, announced a partnership with Uber. This partnership allows Practo customers to easily book an Uber for trips to see their doctor.

This announcement was made through the official Practo website. In an article posted on the site, it is stated that the collaboration between Practo and Uber took effect yesterday (16/11) and will apply to their users in India, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

“We want to improve aspects of the booking experience and have partnered with Uber, one of the world's leading transportation providers. By integrating a convenient, reliable and seamless transportation experience from them (Uber) and bringing it to users from the Practo app, we significantly removed the stressful aspects associated with doctor visits," Practo wrote on its website.

Through this partnership, Practo users will find the nearest Uber fleet when making an appointment through the Practo app. Users can easily place an Uber order by clicking on the reminder notification followed by completing the ordering process. In addition, it is also possible for users to view the estimated fare and time required for Uber to arrive. With doctors' addresses auto-filled, Practo tries to make sure that it's easier for their users to reach their doctors.

Although currently Practo and Uber's strategic partnership is only available in four countries, Practo promises that it will soon be expanded to several other countries.

“This partnership is (currently) in 4 countries, India, Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia and will soon be expanded to cover more countries as we continue to pursue our rapid global expansion. For new Practo users who want to book their first appointment, Practo is offering two free Uber rides until December 31st.
