LokaDok OmniCare Presents a Feature to Manage Hospital Patient Queues

Initiated from a doctor listing site, LokaDok has grown to provide integrated facilities for health services

Having previously launched in a site listing and doctor's reservation, LokaDoc recently presented its newest service called LokaDok OmniCare. This new service is designed to help clinics or hospitals manage patient waiting queues more efficiently. OmniCare is also connected to the system booking which has been previously released.

To provide an easier experience, LokaDok OmniCare can also be installed online native with a site owned by a clinic or hospital. In general, LokaDok has several features that have been integrated, including an order management system (including online and telephone versions), an SMS reminder and patient confirmation system, scheduling arrangements and doctor management, a multi-branch system, to analysis and performance reporting.

LokaDok alone initiated by an application developer with a medical background. LokaDok CEO & Founder Dannie Yo said that health services in the country need to realize the importance of the queue management system, as a concrete form of improving health services in the country. With an adequate queuing management system, this can be better managed, and waiting times per patient average can be reduced.

"We hope to improve the quality of health services in the country. Starting from this queue management system, because it is a pintu the beginning of the flow of patient care," explained Dannie.

Dannie also stated that from the research he read, quoted from "The Journal of Medical Practice Management", waiting time was ranked #1 as the biggest complaint of patients. This is not a problem only in Indonesia, but in other developed countries as well. It's just that in our country this problem is worse because of the absence of an adequate queue management system. In contrast to the way of society such as in Australia or Singapore, where patients are required to perform booking prior appointment with the doctor.

Previously, together with LokaDok's initial product, Dannie had a vision to make LokaDok's service a portfolio of online doctors in Indonesia. These data are considered important to be used as material for analysis, one of which is to even out the distribution of qualified doctors throughout Indonesia. The Lokadok portal itself has been developed since July 2015 and currently has gathered as many as 1.500 doctors.
