Consular Doctors Directory Service Launches Konsula Chat

After at the end of 2015 ago officially launched the full version of Consul Search, today Konsula announced the presence of the Konsula Chat service. This service is expected to be able to help connect anyone with a doctor to be able to conduct non-diagnostic consultations online.

CEO Consulate Shinta Nurfauzia in her press statement said:

“With Konsula Chat, people can have direct access to the non-diagnostic consulting services that we provide, wherever they are. While it is likely that Konsula Chat may not necessarily replace face-to-face consultations between doctors and patients, we believe that this service has complementary benefits. For example, if a person feels sick and he doesn't know which doctor to go to, he can feel calmer after doing chat with our team of doctors online. Driven by our mission to open access to healthcare for all Indonesians, we have decided that the Konsula Chat service will remain free indefinitely.”

In addition, Konsula Chat is also considered to have the potential to help Indonesian people who cannot get direct access to doctors due to the uneven distribution of doctors in the area or for those in urban communities who have busy schedules.

Konsula itself is a startup that provides Indonesian doctor directory services that provide online bookings for doctor appointments, so as to speed up waiting time at the clinic. Since the beta version was launched on October 28, 2015, until now, Konsula's internal data has recorded that it has more than 800 registered doctors. Apart from its website, Konsula also serves registration, ordering, and consultation via SMS and WhatsApp.

After Konsula Chat, Konsula also intends to launch Konsula Connect. Konsula Connect is a cloud computing-based software that helps doctors and clinics to optimize their services with online ordering and registration systems. According to Konsula representatives, the Konsula Connect service can be tried by doctors free of charge for a certain period of time.
