Early Stage Funding Pocket, D-Laundry Ready to Launch Expansion

Aims to accelerate business growth, services online laundryD-Laundry (PT Drop Global Tech) has just completed its initial round of funding. It was not stated further how much the investment value was received and who the investors provided the funding were. To DailySocial, Drop Global Tech Co-Founder & CEO Ridhwan Basalamah revealed that there is one institution and angel investors which is involved.

"Our future plan with these fresh funds is to expand D-Laundry products from Jabodetabek to the national level. At the same time, we have also moved offices in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, after previously located in Depok," said Ridhwan.

With various expansion plans prepared, D-Laundry hopes to further help laundry business owners to go-online and move forward together to improve the standard of service to the community.

Funding obtained from investors will also be used to develop features of the D-Laundry application. One of them is D-Laundry Store, which is a -based platform website which provides a variety of equipment and business packages laundry professional.

"Our target by presenting the D-Laundry Store is to make it easier equipment laundry to make it easier for new entrepreneurs. Through the D-Laundry Store they can get equipment, systems, and training for staff," said Ridhwan.

D-Laundry is an application on-demand laundry that combines the needs of the community with the needs of business owners so that they can access each other's services online. Since 2016 until now, D-Laundry has partnered with hundreds of Laundry entrepreneurs and thousands of users spread across Greater Jakarta.

In addition, there are several other local startups that are also venturing into the same service. One of them is Smartlink, its service helps laundry entrepreneurs digitize business governance. Currently they have been used by around 4 thousand outlets in Java and Bali. Then there is KliknKlin, their newest one integrating services in the Bukalapak application to get more potential users.

Pandemic and business growth

Even though business laundry including the sectors most significantly affected by the pandemic, but D-Laundry claims to still be able to grow its business. To help partners run their business, they have carried out various activities such as training and community development. Among them by organizing event seminar online discussing financial management and business funding laundry facing a pandemic.
