Get to know Pocket Laundry Digital Solutions, Planning to Fundraise This Year

One of the platforms that tries to provide SaaS management, POS, and business management solutions for laundry owners is Saku Laundry. As an application, Saku Laundry tries to provide answers to various problems in the laundry business. Starting from data manipulation vulnerabilities, difficulty auditing transaction receipts, to managing financial reports. To complete data and carry out operations, Saku Laundry also applies Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

To DailySocial.id, CEO Laundry pocket Yusmin Joe revealed the company's plans which are looking for strategic investors.

IoT utilization

According to Yusmin, laundry owners often have difficulty controlling their laundry business. There are vulnerabilities by unscrupulous persons to manipulate receipts, not report transactions, and potential fraud other.

"The priority of this application is securing their business because of us support from the IoT (Internet of Things) side. So it can run laundry from our application. When there are notes that are not recorded, the laundry machine cannot operate.” Yusmin said.

Through the application, laundry business owners can control the machines automatically. Currently Saku Laundry is used by a number of leading laundry brands. Focusing on Software as a Service (SaaS), this application has been used by more than 300 merchants throughout Indonesia. Around 80% is still concentrated in Jabodetabek.

Apart from Saku Laundry, other platforms in this segment include D-Laundry and smartlink. The company is one of the 9 best participants entitled to take part in the Demo Day series DSLaunchpadX.

Want to add active merchants

Another segment that Saku Laundry is working on is service on-demand laundry or laundry pick-up and drop-off which can make it easier for customers not to have to come to the outlet. Apart from that, Saku Laundry launched the “Saku Laundry Laundromat”. This service is the sale of laundry machines with a digital management system.

Saku Laundry also supports QRIS payments which can accept all types of payments cashless providers.

As a SaaS company, Saku Laundry sells IoT hardware for laundry business owners starting from IDR 6 million. They also charge a subscription fee starting from IDR 100 thousand per month. Saku Laundry also charges 10% of the transaction value for every order from a customer.

To develop the business, the company has a fundraising plan this year. Saku Laundry targets to have a total of 500 active merchants. The company also plans to provide financing and management services for those who want to open a laundry business.

"As market demand increases, we also provide consultations, both for merchants laundry that is already running or for businesses that want to develop further," said Yusmin.
