AXA Mandiri Launches Application-Based Teleconsulting Service

PT AXA Mandiri Financial Services (AXA Mandiri) officially launched teleconsultation service application-based, namely AXA Mandiri Teleconsultation. This service is a collaboration with a corporate health solution provider, PT Suprima Mitra Adihusada (Fullerton Health Group).

AXA Mandiri Teleconsultation is an additional facility that can be accessed for free by AXA Mandiri customers. This app is available on Play Store and App Store. Through this service, customers can consult with general practitioners or specialists through the video chat feature (video call) and chat available in the application.

AXA Mandiri President Director Handojo G. Kusuma realizes that people tend to be afraid to go to the nearest hospital or clinic during the Covid-19 pandemic. With this facility, customers can consult with general practitioners 24/7 and specialist doctors during weekdays from 08.00-17.00.

"This facility is free of charge to AXA Mandiri customers, so it does not reduce customer premiums because this is an additional benefit that they can enjoy," said Handojo in a virtual press conference some time ago.

Handojo also sees that the use of teleconsultation services has increased over the past year. With this increasing trend, his party is trying to develop new breakthroughs so that online consulting has more value for its customers.

One of them is to provide access to specialist doctors so that they can accommodate the more demanding needs of customers customized. A number of specialist doctors provided by AXA Mandiri include internal medicine, cardiologist, ENT, eye, dental, to occupational health specialists.

Customers just choose a consultation schedule. Then, the doctor himself will contact the customer directly. Not only that, Handojo also said that this platform also provides access for customers who need it second opinion to another specialist, for example a doctor in Singapore.

“This app saves history medical records safely every time a customer consults. Here, customers can access consultation services with the same doctor before. If necessary, this service can facilitate referrals. All these breakthroughs are why we present AXA Mandiri Teleconsultation. We can love confidence level high," he said.

Meanwhile, the Medical Director of PT Global Assistance & Healthcare, dr. Rieny Stefanny Halim ensures that all doctors who practice on this platform have gone through a selection process and already have a Practice License (SIP).

“Customers who use this service can alsoupload results of lab checks, x-rays, and others that can support the consultation process. Doctors can also prescribe drugs and process them to pharmacy partners through online, "He added.

Teleconsultation trend during the pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed a number of aspects of life over the past year. Not only about the transition from shopping offline ke online, Covid-19 has also changed the way people access health services, from teleconsultation to buying health products (drugs, supplements, vitamins).
