Mekari Starts Optimizing Educational Business Line, Targeting SMEs and Professionals

Aims to provide access online learning to SMEs and office employees, especially those related to the use of based cloud, Mekari launches Mekari University. Actually, this program has been initiated since 2018. Over time, the platform is claimed to have experienced positive growth and has expanded cooperation with educational institutions in various major cities in Indonesia.

Until now, Mekari University already has more than 6000 users from various backgrounds with more than 800 classes.

To DailySocial Mekari's Head of Learning Center Sally Devina Kie revealed that the high interest and enthusiasm of the participants, coupled with the current pandemic conditions, prompted Mekari University to present an educational platform online specifically which can be accessed via the web, with the hope of reaching more participants who want to get comprehensive education either from academics or professionals.

"During this pandemic, we see great potential in the world of educational technology, but now we are still building awareness first and are still fully passionate about education, not only for academics but professionals as well," said Sally.

Concept online learning which targets SMEs to companies have been offered by several startups at this time. Not only training related to HR and taxation, but also studying law by Online Law until startup edutech B2B Codemi.

Target the B2C and B2B segments

Through Mekari University, it is hoped that they can become channel for Mekari to provide an educational platform online as well as various other educational programs, which can be accessed and utilized by all circles, including academics, professionals and business owners, as well as users of Mekari products.

For the B2C segment, there are currently various courses online which can be accessed free of charge by participants (academics, professionals and others) through the platform. There are also courses online which can be accessed by various groups for the purpose of certification in the field of use .

As for B2B, Mekari develops collaborations with various educational institutions and business entities in Indonesia to present seminars, workshops, sessions training to trainers, and certification class Journal accounting, Talenta HRIS software, and tax administration-based Klikpajak cloud for both academics and professionals.

Entering the fourth quarter, Mekari is trying to scale-up course production process within the learning platform to deliver as much quality content as possible to reach more users and meet their expectations. The choice of courses taken by the majority of users from various circles is evenly distributed in each topic, namely accounting, HR, taxation, management and software.
