Mekari Reportedly Has Acquired Qontak (UPDATED)

Last week, Mekari confirmed the results series D pendanaan funding worth $18 million. To DailySocial, Co-Founder & CEO Suwandi Soh said, one of the fresh funds will be used to acquire other SaaS startups.

The latest news is that Mekari has acquired Qontak, a startup developer of CRM and Omnichannel services. It is known, the valuation of Qontak before it was acquired was around $4 million.

We've tried to confirm this news to the executives of each company, but both declined to comment. (Update: Mekari confirmed this news through a release circulated to the media.)

After the acquisition, Qontak's CEO will join as an executive at Mekari and continue to lead Qontak as one of Mekari's business units. It was also stated that currently Mekari has been used by more than 30 thousand companies and 300 thousand employees. Meanwhile, Qontak has had more than a thousand clients to assist the process of digitizing sales and customer service.

This strategic action will expand services in the Mekari ecosystem. As it is known that Mekari does have a mission to become the most complete SaaS provider for businesses. Currently they operate Telenta (payrolls), Sleekr (HRIS), Jurnal (accounting), and KlikPajak (taxation).
