Strengthen Ecosystem, Yummy Corp. Acquires MyBrand

The combination of the two startups gathers around 15.000 culinary merchants from various cities in Indonesia

After pocketing series B follow-up funding from Sembrani Nusantara owned by BRI Ventures in August 2021, Yummy Corp launched a strategic action by acquiring MyBrand. That is an application social marketplace culinary services that support home-based MSMEs with sales and systems reseller. Previously, MyBrand was the eight startups that entered batch three accelerator programs Accelerating Asia.

MyBrand is known as an application that is a forum for supporting social media-based businesses so that it can be reached by the general public through applications marketplace special. Through this application, users can choose restaurants from various online-based culinary business partners around the nearest location.

"We have the same vision and mission with MyBrand to help culinary business actors, especially MSMEs, to more easily reach and serve their consumers with our technology. We believe this acquisition will expand our reach to MSMEs in Indonesia to have access to a platform that supports their business growth," said Yummy Corp Co-Founder & CEO Mario Suntanu.

This acquisition was also followed by the joining of the entire MyBrand team, including Louise Lautan as founder who now occupies a strategic position as Managing Director at Yummy Corp.

To date merchant who are members of Yummyshop and MyBrand have reached 15.000 units throughout Indonesia. With this acquisition, it is hoped that this will be the beginning of the creation of more innovative technologies for the culinary industry in the next year which will certainly be able to provide features that answer the needs of culinary business people in Indonesia.

Strengthen the ecosystem

As a food technology company engaged in providing food facilities, cloud kitchen, and applications that support MSME actors selling culinary online, so far Yummy Corp does have plans to strengthen the ecosystem.

So far, Yummy Corp. has operated more than 70 shared kitchens spread across Jadetabek, Medan, and Bandung; in collaboration with more than 50 food and beverage brands such as Dailybox, Gaaram, Kyochon, Sei Sapi Lamalera, and others.

Various types of food are presented by Yummykitchen in order to provide diverse choices for consumers to enjoy the experience of buying their favorite food brands in one place. This year Yummy Corp is also rolling out innovation by building a management business unit foodcourt integrated with online sales.

Earlier in November 2021, Yummy Corp also officially announced the launch Yummy shop, an application to help culinary MSME business actors to transact more easily with their consumers.
