Otoklix Raises 28 Billion Rupiah Funding, Connects Car Owners and Workshops Through Applications

Target 500 workshop partners and serve 100 thousand cars per month by December 2021

Solution startup online-to-offline which digitizes industry aftermarket automotive industry in Indonesia (including car service or repair), Otoklix, announced an initial funding of $2 million or equivalent to 28 billion Rupiah. This round was led by Surge, Sequoia Capital India's accelerator program. Also participating were GK Plug and Play, Kenangan Investment Fund 1, Lentor Ventures, Noble Star Ventures, and Andree Susanto as founder Waresix.

Surge is an acceleration program by Sequoia Capital aimed at startup companies in Southeast Asia and India. This program is held twice a year, Otoklix managed to become a representative from Indonesia to take part in the Surge batch fourth along with other selected startups from India, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Australia.

Happen aftermarket Indonesian cars are projected to grow to $15 billion with 20 million cars being part of the industry market by 2025. This is one of the reasons that prompted Martin Reyhan Suryohusodo, Joseph Alexander Ananto, and Benny Sutedjo to start a network aftermarket largest automaker in Southeast Asia.

Otoklix was founded in 2019, with a mission to bridge the gap between vehicle owners and Indonesia's fragmented general repair industry. Transforming the vehicle maintenance experience for consumers and equipping workshops by increasing their visibility, providing business solutions through for mobile devices to report the, as well as savings in procurement costs.

Otoklix Co-founder Martin Suryohusodo said, “Industry conditions aftermarket Indonesia's automotive industry, which is quite fragmented, creates difficulties for consumers due to the lack of information transparency. At the same time, the industry is also a huge potential market that is often underestimated. Learning from the US market, shared mobility can increase industrial spending aftermarket by 150% and this inspires us for the future of the industry aftermarket Indonesian automotive.

The Otoklix service itself includes two user segments. For car owners, Otoklix has developed a mobile application that makes car maintenance easy. Car owners can order service at a nearby recommended independent repair shop and receive standard rates and service levels. Car owners also get a guarantee for every transaction at Otoklix partner workshops and can track their repair and maintenance history within the app.

For approximately one year of operation, Otoklix has facilitated the servicing of 10 thousand cars per month by more than 100 active workshop partners. We believe that we are now on a growth trajectory to become the largest and most trusted aftermarket service network in Indonesia, with 20 million cars that will be part of the market. aftermarket automotive in the next five years.
