Good relationship Gojek and Public Transportation

Currently Gojek Being a fairly complete application, it provides several services. Starting from transportation, food, to financial services. Apart from trying be a super app, Gojek not forgetting its initial run as a transportation application. In the field of transportation Gojek is trying to be a complement to public transportation.

Head of Product for Transport Gojek Vikrama Dhiman emphasized that his party always tries to present comprehensive solutions that realize the integration of various modes of transportation that make it easy and at the same time become part of public transportation.

"Our data suggests that the number of trips with Gojek (first-mile-last-mile) to public transport hubs also save up to 40% travel time during peak hours. Our internal data also states 1 in 2 customers Gojek never used the service Gojek from or to hub transportation," explained Vikrama.

Vikrama also explained that GoRide and GoCar users to reach MRT stations in December 2019 increased almost 7 times since the fast train service was first launched. Eleven locations of Commuter Line and Long Distance Train stations are also said to be the most frequent departure points and destinations for GoRide users in the Jabodetabek area.

"GoRide Instant's features and services are able to cut user waiting time by up to 40% at various public transportation connection points such as MRT, KRL, and Transjakarta stations," added Vikrama.

To increase integration with the transportation of various modes Gojek has also presented GoTransit. A service intended to help users to plan and monitor trips from/to various points hub public transportation, complete with recommendations for public transportation routes.

"In the future, this GoTransit service will allow booking and purchasing of multimodal transportation tickets. We believe that more connected travel can make people use public transportation more," continued Vikrama.

Predicting the future of transportation in Indonesia

Vikrama further predicts that the future of transportation in Indonesia will adopt a lot of electric vehicle technology, autonomous vehicles, charging stations, and revamping public infrastructure throughout the city. While waiting that way, Gojek hopes to continue collaborating with the government by helping the community connect with public transportation as they have done at the 4 integrated stations: Juanda, Tanah Abang, Pasar Senen, and Sudirman.

Party Gojek also explained that they really care about the environment by promoting the use of public transportation and electric vehicles.
