Qasir Releases Miqro Application, Helps SMEs Digitize Transaction Records

Now the application is integrated with Dana and Ovo, soon to follow for other digital wallets

For two years focused on developing the Point of Sales (POS) platform, Qasir further strengthen the commitment of SMEs in Indonesia by launching the Miqro application. The main focus of developing this application is to digitize transaction records and create efficiencies in each of its derivative processes.

"After two years of developing products for SMEs we realized that the majority of users we wanted empower are in the micro-enterprise group. Even being given free POS is not necessarily functional because the management of the business is very different. For this reason, we have developed Miqro starting from the beginning of 2019," said Michael Liem as CEO of Qasir.

Obviously, the application that used to be called Mitra Qasir it offers a solution end-to-end for micro-enterprises. One of their superior features is Record, which plays a role in simplifying the recording process and can also function as a calculation tool that is integrated (currently) with Dana and Ovo.

In addition, there are other features such as Kasbon to record debts equipped with payment reminders, Wholesale Shopping for purchasing goods from wholesale stores, and Pay Tempo for funding from financial institution partners Qasir (version beta).

This platform is present as a solution for entrepreneurs such as shop owners or mobile coffee shops who are still running a business without employees in terms of recording transactions. After the business starts to grow to a small or medium scale, they are expected to continue this good culture by using the Qasir POS application.

Qasir himself is currently developing new features such as Tax and Raw Material Management which is intended for entrepreneurs who want to get detailed business reports. It admits that it has served more than 170 thousand users and recorded more than 1,4 trillion Rupiah transactions. In terms of product development, the team will focus more on user experience and ensure that the product can be used by various types of businesses.

Currently, Miqro has reached areas around Greater Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Malang, and Denpasar. Their target in 2020 is to be able to develop sporadically, especially in tier 2 and 3 cities.

Departing from personal experience as the son of a grocer, Mike, the nickname of the founder of Qasir, saw the progress of micro-enterprises over the last ten years began to be eroded by capitalism. The modern market grew from 11% to 18%, making the development of traditional micro-enterprises units decline. He believes that micro-enterprises can be the main focus to make Indonesia a world economic leader, and Miqro is here to support every process to get there.

"The Miqro application will continue to be developed not only for managing micro-enterprises, our team will continue to strive to develop products that can help Micro-businesses advance. Our hope is that Miqro can contribute well in their process of becoming small and medium-sized businesses," he concluded.
