Runchise Offers SaaS Platform for Franchise and Culinary Business Management

Founded by Daniel Witono who previously developed the Journal service (acquired by Mekari)

Daniel Witono's name is no stranger to the Indonesian startup activist community. After successfully building a Journal in 2015, until finally acquired by Mekari, now he is busy with his new activity, namely developing a platform outlet management solutions named Runchise.

To DailySocial.id, Daniel revealed, the reason it was founded Runchise starting from his first experience when developing Journals. Many of their clients ask if there is a solution or technology that can be used to launch a business franchise (franchise) them.

Issues about management to coaching franchise it turns out that it is still a challenge that is often felt by restaurant owners to owners brand. Starting from the lack of transparency from franchisees, to the use of raw materials that are not appropriate. This then inspired Daniel to present the platform end-to-end to the owner franchise.

"When I was with Mekari, I couldn't develop this concept because the company's focus was only on accounting and personnel. That's why after I left, I started developing Runchise to help the F&B sector in Indonesia, which has a very wide potential," said Daniel.

Still in the development stage, currently Runchise is running its business independently bootstrap. The plan is that within the next 1 to 2 months, the SaaS platform will soon be launched to the target market.

Previously, SaaS specifically for the culinary business already existed The Essence of Global Solutions which has been supported by a number of investors including Alpha JWC Ventures. The solutions offered include ERP, POS, and food delivery service management. In addition, there are several others, such as DigiResto, which was developed by MCAS.

Business model and monetization strategy

In general, there are currently two business models franchise, among others are royalty brand and supply of raw materials. To be able to maintain the quality of the products owned by the owner franchise For franchisees, an integrated solution is needed that can manage processes, system integration, to manage raw materials and delivery to customers. Until now, Daniel sees that there is no platform that offers this solution.

"With the intense competition among franchise, requires them to be able to develop a stable and profitable business. In addition to the lack of system integration, issues such as fraud surrounding the selection of inappropriate raw materials to the lack of transparency of sales reports from franchisees, make business franchise can't survive. With the technology offered by Runchise, it is hoped that it can overcome these obstacles," said Daniel.

Franchise to restaurants that Runchise is targeting are from small to large scale businesses. Many of the restaurant owners and franchise centered on the island of Java, but due to the scale of their service, many of these restaurants are now starting to serve the city animal 2 and animal 3. Through Runchise, restaurant owners will be able to maintain the quality and consistency of the brand in various locations.

Apart from management supply chain leaders, Runchise also offers solutions multi-outlet management and franchise solutions. The products and services they provide include, outlet management, point of sales, and online ordering.

"Our current focus is on system and process integration. For online delivery we also offer restaurant owners and franchise to be able to have channel extra outside marketplace right now," said Daniel

"I see that until now there is no platform that provides services like Runchise. I hope that Runchise can be end-to-end solutions for the F&B sector in Indonesia," said Daniel.
