Nexticorn 2023 has the theme "Recalibration of the Technology Industry"

HUB.ID Summit X Nexticorn 2023, an international conference in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and the Nexticorn Foundation, will be held on 15-16 September 2023 in Nusa Dua, Bali.

In this fifth year the theme is: "Recalibrating the Industry: Indonesia's Tech Investment Moving Forward". Through this topic, Nexticorn wants to highlight the dynamics of technology investment in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. While discussing recalibration strategies to navigate the uncertainty and transition of the technology sector (including AI, Sustainability, etc); as well as efforts/solutions that can be carried out by industry players.

Kominfo's Director of Digital Economy I Nyoman Adhiarna said that Kominfo through HUB.ID is committed to continuing to encourage the acceleration of the country's digital transformation, by holding activities for startups for one week in Bali, namely HUB.ID Summit x Nexticorn 2023 and HUB.ID Accelerator Partner Day x NexBe Fest 2023.

"By embracing various stakeholders in this collaboration, we want to expand the development of the digital ecosystem so that more digital startups can grow and develop, especially startups early stage "aimed by HUB.ID by bringing them together with investors both locally and globally," he said at a press conference held in Jakarta, yesterday (4/9).

Founding Board Member of the Nexticorn Foundation David Rimbo added, Nexticorn is presenting this time full-spectrum coverage of startups that will participate, considering that HUB.ID focuses on early stage startups and Nexticorn on advanced stage startups. It is hoped that this conference can be a way for all parties to jointly find solutions to the challenges faced by all technology startup sectors.

According to him, rapid advances in technology in recent years have had a major impact on society and economies around the world, including AI, sustainability technology, and others.

Nexticorn Activities 2023

Activities in the form of conferences and business matchmaking It is hoped that this will become a meeting point that can encourage the progress of Indonesian technology startups by opening access to meetings between venture capital global and technology startups of scale early stage, growth, to late stage.

HUB.ID will bring in 50 startups and 50 venture capital. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communication and Information invited 80 startups and more than 100 venture capital from local and global who will be present in Bali. For two full days, startups and venture capital Those selected will take part in a series of events that include panel discussion sessions and will also be attended by well-known speakers and sessions matchmaking.

For the record, the Ministry of Communication and Information through the Directorate General of Information Applications, Directorate of Digital Economy is encouraging the acceleration of digital startup businesses in Indonesia through the HUB.ID program with two main activities, namely the HUB.ID Accelerator which opens access to synergies and business collaboration with private companies, BUMN, institutions central/regional government, and research institutions/educational institutions.

HUB.ID Accelerator has helped more than 90 digital startups since 2021, and another activity is the HUB.ID Summit, which focuses on facilitating business meetings between digital startups and venture capital.

In implementing the 2022 HUB.ID Summit, it has facilitated 80 digital startups and 80 venture capital and successfully created 800 business meetings. The implementation of HUB.ID has had a direct and indirect impact on facilitated digital startup businesses and shown growth with indicators of additional new investment worth more than $10 million until the first semester of 2023.

The Nexticorn Summit in the previous year succeeded in bringing together more than 300 people founder startups and C-Level from Indonesia's best startups that have been curated, presenting more than 250 partners and principals from venture capital leading both locally and globally, and holding 800 sessions business matchmaking during the two days of the conference.

David said this was related to the various stages of startups that would participate. This time, his party will invite more categories of investors so that funding sources for startups are more diverse. A number family offices have been invited to attend Bali next week.
