Get Series A Fund, Hukumonline Wants to Develop Technology to Accommodate the Needs of Legal Practitioners

Continue to push “premium subscription” as the main business model

Startups legaltech Hukumonline yesterday (03/2) announced the acquisition of series A funding. The investment was obtained from private equity that focuses on funding media companies Emerging Media Opportunity Fund (EMOF). The amount of funds obtained was not stated, but it was also conveyed that investors in the previous stage participated in this round.

This capital injection will be focused on developing new products and improving existing services.

Hukumonline was founded in 1999 by a group of legal practitioners including Ibrahim Assegaf. In addition to the information portal, they now have two subsidiaries in the same field with different services.

For Hukumonline itself, the business model applied is freemium. The company claims that in the last two years it has user growth premium subscribers up to 20%. The majority of customers are from law firm, in-house counsel, government agencies and universities.
