"Indonesia will be one hundred years old in 2045 and a third of Indonesia's population is currently aged 0-12 years. Twenty-five years from now will be at the peak of productive working age. They are the future leaders of the nation, and now is the best moment to help they maximize their potential so that they can compete in the global arena," said Analia Tan, Co-Founder and CEO of Kiddo.id.

Launched in early 2020, OCBC NISP Ventures is a corporate venture capital (CVC) Bank OCBC NISP. To DailySocialOCBC NISP's Head of Strategy & Innovation Ka Jit explained, the purpose of establishing this CVC is to create a digital ecosystem that is able to drive the transformation of the banking sector. Funds worth 400 billion Rupiah were prepared as authorized capital, with 99,9% ownership by Bank OCBC NISP.

"We established OCBC NISP Ventura to create transformative value by harnessing the potential of the entrepreneurial spirit and startups in Indonesia with an extensive banking network to respond to the growing needs of the community," said Ka Jit.

Positive growth during a pandemic

Previously, in May 2020, Kiddo had established a strategic partnership with GogoKids from Malaysia. Through this collaboration, users can take classes online originating from both countries. Child activity service providers from Indonesia can also market their class more broadly to Malaysian customers.

During this PSBB period, Kiddo presents a selection of quality activities for Indonesian children. Classes that are usually attended by children can still be carried out virtually and ordered through the platform. Kiddo has partnered with more than hundreds of child activity service providers in several big cities in Indonesia. Currently, hundreds of activity providers have joined the platform.

"We want to provide more choices for parents in Indonesia in choosing activities that suit their children's needs, so that their little ones can continue to develop their potential even though they have to #stayhome. On the other hand, we also want to help providers of children's activities in Indonesia to expand their business to the Malaysian market through this collaboration," said Analia.
