What is BPUM?

BPUM or Assistance for Micro Business Actors is direct cash assistance (BLT) from the government aimed at micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This assistance is in the form of cash sourced from the state budget. This MSME BLT has been given to millions of registered MSMEs that have met the requirements since 2020.

Requirements for Obtaining BPUM

As previously stated, recipients of BLT UMKM or BPUM are only registered UMKM that meet the requirements. What are the conditions? The following are the requirements for recipients of government MSME assistance:

  • Indonesian business owners.
  • Small, micro, or medium scale businesses.
  • Business actors have a NIK.
  • These MSMEs are not currently receiving KUR assistance or credit from the bank.
  • MSME actors are not members of the TNI, Polri, ASN, or BUMN or BUMD employees.
  • MSME owners are not retired from the TNI, Polri, ASN, BUMN, or BUMD.
  • If the business address is not the same as the KTP address, the business actor must include an SKU (Business Certificate) issued by the local Cooperative Office.

How to Get Government BPUM for MSMEs

How to Register MSMEs Online

Every UMKM actor who wants to get BLT UMKM from the government must register his business online online via OSS. Here is the guide:

  • Open the OSS page via oss.go.id or click directly HERE.

  • Then, click Register on the main page.
  • Then, select your business scale and click Continue.

  • After that, fill in the required data. There are three stages in filling out information. First, data verification. Second, password generation. Third, the profile of business actors.

  • If all the information has been completed, click Register.
  • Then, activate the message sent to Email registered.
  • Once you have access, login and click Business Licensing> New Application.
  • Next, complete data related to your business, such as business actor data, business sector data, detailed business sector data, and business product or service data.
  • Next, check the available data on the Business Infrastructure Commitment form, including product or service list data, business data, business activity list data, and environmental approval documents.
  • If all the data above has been completed and checked, click Next.
  • Then, check Self-Declaration.
  • Lastly, check on the section Draft Business Licensing and wait for the Undertaking Permit to be issued online. In addition, you will also get NIB (Business Identification Number) as proof that your MSME has been registered.

How to Register MSMEs through the Cooperative Service

After registering your business and getting an NIB, then register your business as a BPUM recipient through the local Cooperative Service by following these steps:

  • Prepare the required documents, including KTP, KK, SKU, and NIB.
  • Come to the local Cooperative Service office with the above documents.
  • Then, submit registration for BPUM beneficiaries and submit these files.
  • Next, the officer will check the completeness of the documents that you bring. If the file is declared incomplete, the officer will ask you to complete it immediately.
  • However, if your files are complete and your business meets the requirements, the Cooperative Service officer will apply for registration of your business as a BPUM recipient.

If your business has been registered as a BPUM recipient, then all you have to do is wait for the announcement BPUM disbursement. You can check periodically whether your business is included as a BPUM recipient or not through the Banpresbpum page or the BRI e-form page by entering your NIK.
