AnyMind Group Acquires Local E-commerce Enabler Company DDI

AnyMind Group, a company end-to-end commerce enabler, announced that it has acquired all the shares issued by e-distributors and e-commerce enablers from Indonesia, PT Digital Distribution Indonesia (DDI). The transaction is valued at $7,5 million or equivalent to 111 billion Rupiah (including consideration earnout of $2,5 million).

This is the first acquisition AnyMind Group in Indonesia, as well as the first acquisition after becoming a public company on the Tokyo Growth Market Stock Exchange on March 29, 2023.

Through this strategic move, the two companies will combine their capabilities. AnyMind Group with its technology for end-to-end commerce and a global network of partners, as well as local e-commerce operations teams and DDI customer networks in Indonesia.

In official statement, Co-founder and CEO of AnyMind Group Kosuke Sogo said that his party realized the potential of the Indonesian market and made it one of the first markets to expand. "Over the years, we have built business momentum in Indonesia through our marketing business lines and the acquisition of DDI gives us a strong leadership and additional impetus into the e-commerce space here," he said.

DDI was founded in 2019 by Tatum Kembara (CEO). Before founding DDI, Tatum was VP of Business Growth Bliblimart at Blibli, then held corporate and analyst roles at companies, such as Sale Stock and AT Kearney.

Tatum will join the AnyMind Group management team as Managing Director, and the current DDI team will continue to be involved in managing DDI following the acquisition.

DDI provides a wide range of services across the value chain E-commerce for companies in Indonesia, with a focus on consumer goods brands. Its services cover all aspects of the value chain E-commerce which includes: sales strategy courses store operations, in-app marketing, customer service, warehousing, and fulfillment.

DDI is the company's first acquisition of e-commerce enablers, and its eighth acquisition globally, which includes a trading desk publisher FourM (based in Japan; acquired in 2017) and Acqua Media (based in Hong Kong; acquired in 2018), networks an influencer Moindy (based in Thailand; acquired in 2019), and GROVE (based in Japan; acquired in 2019), mobile advertising company POKKT Mobile Ads (based in India; acquired in 2020), fitness apparel brand direct-to-consumer LÝFT (based in Japan; acquired in 2020), and cross-border marketing company ENGAWA (based in Japan; acquired in 2021).

In its series of solutions, AnyMind Group has launched a platform conversational commerce AnyChat, and management platform E-commerce AnyX, which optimizes the operating system E-commerce through central management of multiple channels e-commerce. Previously, the company had developed and launched the AnyFactory manufacturing platform and the AnyLogi logistics management platform.

AnyMind Group pioneered in the technology marketing industry with platforms for advertising and influencer marketing, and has since expanded into the technology space publisher and creator.
