Komerce Receives Initial Funding from Achmad Zaky and 500 Global

Funds will be used for product development and new user acquisition

Solution provider startup e-commerce enablers Komerce announced that it had received initial funding with an undisclosed amount from Achmad Zaky and 500 Global. Commercial will use these funds for product development and new user acquisition.

Before signing in as angel investors in Komerce, Zaky also invests through Achmad Zaky Foundation (AZF) with the Indigo Telkom Acceleraton Program in 2021. Another note, Zaky is one of the Limited Partners (LP) in the Global 500. The relationship between Zaky and 500 Global has been around for a long time since the early stage VC injected funds into Bukalapak when it was just starting out.

In an official statement, Komerce Co-Founder & CEO Nofi Bayu Darmawan said that this funding will help them develop products and expand into new markets. “We believe that E-commerce "has great potential to help MSMEs in Indonesia to develop," he said, Monday (26/2).

Zaky expressed his high optimism regarding Komerce's potential in helping MSMEs in Indonesia to develop. “Komerce has a strong and experienced team in the field e-commerce," he said.

Commerce founded in 2020 by Nofi Bayu Darmawan together with Syaefullah Syeif (COO) and Satriyo Budi Utomo (CTO) who joined a year later. Nofi said that the unique value proposition offered by Komerce is that it makes it easier and simpler for MSME entrepreneurs to manage operational activities.
