Alodokter Introduces "Aloshop" Online Pharmacy Service

Only available in Jakarta and Bekasi areas; plans to expand its service coverage throughout Indonesia

Some time ago, platform healtech Alodokter introduces services epharmacy the latest Aloshop which is integrated directly in the application. Currently only available in most areas of Jakarta and Bekasi, but the network will be expanded nationally in March 2021.

Contacted DailySocial Separately, President Director of Alodokter Suci Arumsari said Aloshop is here to meet the needs of health products for 31 million Alodokter users. His party will work with strategic partners who are trusted and have a good reputation in terms of providing medicines to ensure the quality and authenticity of the products.

"Currently, Aloshop is collaborating with a strategic partner that we have not been able to reveal to join [in Aloshop]. In the future, we will continue to evaluate the needs of our users so that we can work with other trusted partners," he said.

Suci revealed, Alodokter is currently in the process of strengthening the network of drug and health product providers so that the supply can be carried out efficiently. In addition, his party is also conducting system integration with a national-scale courier company to improve the product delivery network at Aloshop.

"Through our long-term plans with strategic partners, we strive to provide complete services and the best prices and are easily accessible to Alodokter users. We ensure cooperation with strategic partners can be mutually beneficial so that each party can grow together," he said.

Through the Alodokter application, users can transact at Aloshop, whether using a doctor's prescription or not. For purchases with a doctor's prescription, users must first consult with a doctor through the Alodokter application. This is done by Alodokter to maintain the validity and safety of prescribing and treatment.

Suci said that Alodokter already has a team to curate over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements that do not require a prescription in accordance with government regulations. In addition, Aloshop also provides prescription drugs, beauty and skin health products, and products for the needs of mothers and children.

"All products available at AloShop are curated products that meet government regulatory standards, as regulated in BPOM regulation No. 8 of 2020," added Suci.

Based on Similarweb's current ranking, Alodokter still tops the rankings for services healthtech in Indonesia. As of November 2020, Alodokter has secured series C . funding worth $33 million from a number of investors, such as MDI Ventures, Sequis, to Golden Gate Ventures.
