Zi.Care Focuses on Developing Hospital Digitization Solutions

With a background of more than ten years in several well-known hospitals, Zi.Care Indonesia Founder and CEO Jessy Abdurrahman saw a phenomenon, with the ability of qualified doctors and no less sophisticated technology, why there are still many Indonesian people who prefer access to health outside country?

This prompted him to find pain points in the operational system of hospitals in Indonesia and then develop digital solutions to overcome these problems.

Built in 2017 with his partner Sanjaya I Mayluddin, Zi.Care offers a solution end-to-end for digitizing hospitals. A fully comprehensive Healthcare Information and Management System platform that handles the entire cycle in the process from resource management to insurance claims.

Solutions offered

Currently, Zi.Care divides its business into three kinds of concepts, namely B2B to provide and develop a SaaS platform for healthcare facilities; B2C to revolutionize the utility of healthcare mobile applications and include personal electronic medical records; as well as B2G to align and support regulators in setting standards for the digital healthcare ecosystem.

Jodi Susanto, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Zi.Care Indonesia said, "The digital solution we want to offer is end-to-end business processes includes doctors, patients, hospital management, nurses, back and front office, to purchasing and procurement. But right now, we are focusing on putting forward an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) solution."

In the B2B realm, Zi. Care implement a subscription business model for their SaaS platform with a minimum of 3 years of use. In this package, his party will handle the overall Health Service Information and Management System at the hospital and its maintenance. Currently, the company claims to have served 76 hospitals, consisting of 70 national hospitals that handle Covid-19 as well as 6 commercial contracts.

In addition to focusing on some of the superior features above, Zi.Care is also developing a B2C solution called health passport, i.e. electronic medical records for individuals based on cloud fully integrated with interested stakeholders. However, the company admits that it is still in talks with several companies stakeholder regarding regulation.

"We have communicated intensively with teams from authorities, such as the Ministry of Health, the Minister of Home Affairs, and others. Because in its own use, there is also integration between ministries and requires a NIK.launching along with vaccine distribution," added Jodi.

In addition to offering solutions in terms of systems, Zi.Care also has a module that makes it easier for BPJS patients to seek treatment in hospitals through the BPJS bailout feature. Currently, it has partnered with BNI, Mandiri, and Mandiri Syariah banks, for hospitals that have not bankable, we have also cooperated with nature in accommodating these needs.

"We call this ecosystem cloudhospital, where every health service can occur under the umbrella of the hospital. With this concept, every hospital can reach patients anywhere. This will automatically increase the competitiveness of hospitals with solutions healthtech others," said Jodi.

In the course of its business, Zi.Care has collaborated with several parties related to health inclusion. In 2019, Zi.Care together with five health startups and the Ministry of Health have signed an MoU which states that the company will support the technology development aspects of the platform. Market potential and targets
