AdaKerja Connects SMEs and Corporations with Prospective Blue Collar Workers

One more platform job marketplace trying to accommodate blue-collar job opportunities (blue collar) introduced to the public. Named AdaKerja, it has a mission to simplify the process of recruiting workers efficiently through technology.

Make it easy for workers to make CV

AdaKerja service is also equipped chatbot based on Facebook Messenger to make it easier for workers to create profiles and CVs. This approach is considered easier, instead of the user having to compile the CV document manually. Because after all, CV is one of the important components to "market" the skills of these workers.

"Currently there are more than 300 thousand skilled workers registered with AdaKerja, and there are 7 thousand job vacancies from various companies being offered. We see changes starting to occur. Most of the companies that have used AdaKerja for recruitment purposes are SMEs which are merchant from platform online such as Tokopedia and GoFood," Ashwin added.

There are several startups in the HR-tech field targeting blue-collar workers in Indonesia. One of them is Job2GO, last week they just announced the acquisition early stage investment from the network angel investors BANSEA. Just like AdaKerja, a list of available jobs is offered for workers gigs, choices such as salespeople, merchandising, SPG, marketing staff, administrative staff, and others.

To DailySocialKurniawan Santoso, Founder & CEO of Job2GO, said that currently Job2GO application users have reached 15 thousand people, with 500 companies offering various vacancies.

Other players offering similar services are Heikaku, offers similar job options but focuses on facilitating SME business people. Based on the data shared, the most open job vacancies are admin, sales, drafter, telemarketing, marketing, SPG and others. About 87% of applicants are high school/vocational high school graduates. In addition, there are several other players operating in Indonesia, such as Kromo and Workmate.

Previously, many vacancies for blue-collar workers were distributed manually – for example with leaflets posted in public places such as job vacancies at the POS office or in the form of digital posters on social media.
