Funds Go To Logistics Solutions, Release "Delivery" Service With Shipper

The fund expands its function as digital wallet by venturing into logistics services”Delivery Funds” to serve its users consisting of entrepreneurs online and the general public. In providing these services, the company is partnering with logistics aggregator startups Shipper.

Dana Co-Founder & CEO Vincent Iswara explained, this initiation is a further form of the company's commitment to support the community and businessmen online adapt with the conditions of the new order during the pandemic. On the one hand, this partnership with Shipper strengthens the company's mission to become a delivery hub for logistics companies in providing B2B and C2C services.

Users can make deliveries of goods in a practical and integrated manner through one platform. They can do order delivery according to the logistics service provider and the type of delivery selected.

“Dana Delivery makes it easy for business actors, especially MSMEs who are not yet connected to an expedition service, to deliver goods safely, easily, and securely. This is in line with Dana's commitment as a friend of MSMEs," he said in an official statement.

For the initial stage, this service only covers the Jakarta area. User can choose delivery type Instant and Same day. For service Instant, delivery of goods with a maximum weight of 7 kg-20kg, depending on the chosen expedition. Temporary Same day, the maximum weight is between 5 kg-7 kg.

Shipper himself already established since 2017 and cooperate with dozens of logistics companies, ranging from JNE, SiCepat, RPX, Popbox, DHL, Aramex, Grab, Gojek, J&T Express, Wahana, Pos Indonesia, TIKI, Lalamove, and many more.

Shipper's business model such as marketplace for logistics, users can create order delivery via a custom dashboard. Then choose the logistics service you want, and the Shipper partner will pick it up to be delivered to the destination logistics partner so that the shipment will be processed immediately. The experience is carried over to the Dana app.

“In accordance with Dana's mission, we want to provide an integrated solution. Coupled with a pandemic period like this, the need for delivery services is increasing. Therefore, Dana Delivery is here to accommodate the needs of users to make it easier to carry out their activities and businesses," Vincent said separately to DailySocial.

He said, Dana Delivery was present in early September before it was officially introduced to the public. Therefore, he was still monitoring the number of users and merchant Funds using the service. Meanwhile, his party still plans to expand its coverage area, not limited to Jakarta.

"As a result of the collaboration with partners, the current delivery limit is still 40 km. Expansion regarding the distance of Dana Delivery is certainly in our plan, but for now we are focusing on improving services in the Jakarta area and waiting for input and suggestions from users.”

In continuing its mission to help entrepreneurs online, the Fund will continue to add partnerships with other companies. Vincent admitted that he was still in the discussion stage to open this possibility. “Thus, users and merchant Dana will have a variety of delivery service options in one platform.”

Vincent also said that currently, in Dana Delivery, there is no insurance available to protect products from reaching consumers safely. Users can monitor the process of sending goods directly through the application. In addition, if there is damage/loss of goods in the shipping process, the user can submit the claim to the expedition service partner.

The responsibility for reimbursement of claims is the value of the object of delivery based on the lowest value between 10 times the shipping cost up to a maximum replacement of a certain nominal. "We also do not rule out the possibility that in the future we can apply insurance services to this feature," he concluded.
