SociaBuzz Tribe Helps Appreciate Content Creators at Work

Content creators can create paid subscription plans. Payment can be via digital wallet

After running the business for four years, the creative services marketplace platform SocialBuzz launched a new feature called SociaBuzz Tribe. To DailySocial, SociaBuzz CEO Rade Tampubolon revealed, the plan for this feature is already here The roadmap since 2017.

"The way it works is not much different from Patreon, a platform that allows customers to donate a certain amount of money every time a content creator or creative talent creates a work of art. The difference that Tribe has is the payment options that all prioritize local digital wallets, not credit cards, so make the payment process easier.

The currently available payment option is through Ovo. Alternatives via LinkAja, GoPay, Dana, and bank transfers will soon follow. Similar platforms have previously been present in the form of Karyakarsa. Some of the creators on the platform now have more than 100 paying subscribers.

The concept presented by Patreon and Tribe is claimed to provide convenience for everyone who has skill and want to monetize. Feature SocialBuzz Tribe can be used by any type of content creator, including YouTuber, podcasts, comic artists, writers, musicians, journalists, and so on.

“We are very enthusiastic about the launch of this new service. Because apart from being able to help content creator living from his work, we also hope that this can be one of the driving wheels of the creative economy in Indonesia,” said Rade.

Focus on "Passion Economy"

One of the focuses of SociaBuzz this year was to apply the concept of "Passion Economy", a term introduced by NFX Venture Capital Managing Partner James Currier. In his writings, it is stated that in the next 10 years all will start targeting the "Market Network". "This fact that later caught our attention from SociaBuzz and seeing what we have presented and will launch in the future is in line with this concept. The point is that everyone can now work and make money that promises digitally," said Rade.

Currently the company has 39.000 talents and content creators who have joined the platform. SociaBuzz's focus is still on increasing the number of creators to the platform. Rade believes that massive customers will visit and use the platform if they have a large number of quality content creators.

Although currently SociaBuzz is stillcatering brands large groups who want to carry out marketing activities through an agency, but to scale-up the company is still working on bringing new features, including providing a SaaS platform for creative talent.

"Obviously it's not easy for us to become a platform like it is today. It takes adjustments to simplify the features that we previously offered. Our goal, of course, is to become a platform that can be used by all content creator to work," said Rade.

Asked whether SociaBuzz has plans to launch an application, Rade said that the use of SEO for digital marketing purposes is still relevant for web-based platforms. Claiming the company has made a profit, Rade is also reluctant to mention the fundraising plan.

"Currently we have made a profit and our next focus is to release interesting new features to learn from foreign platforms that are trending for needs content creator and SociaBuzz users," Rade concluded.
