Printu Receives Initial Funding from IDN Media

Printu is a "print-for-free" service for students

Printu's online platform, which builds services print-for-free for students, announced the acquisition of initial funding of an undisclosed value from IDN Media. The funding is said to be used to increase user base growth, community expansion, employee recruitment, and product development.

Printu was founded by Antonius Chandra who started his business in the middle of 2017. The concept of Printu is simple, students can send their assignments or scientific papers to be printed by Printu for free. Why can it be free? Because the cost is covered by advertisers who can promote on the content page. Ads can be tailored to the needs of the brand and student profile.

Currently the allotted printing is once a month per student, with one document consisting of a minimum of 25 pages and a maximum of 160 pages. Students can combine several scientific papers in one file for this printing need.

Claimed at this time Print already has 50.000 students who have joined from 300 universities in Indonesia. Printu also initiated a student ambassador scheme to encourage introductions brand.

IDN Media itself is one of the media startups that is aggressive in its efforts to reach the millennial market and young women. In the last six months IDN Media has obtained Series B funding, forming IDN Creator Network, "acquired" tim and accounts Rappler Indonesia, and form a medium for a new segment Popmama.
