Media Startup “Bingkai Karya” Announces Pre-Scratch Funding

Frame Karya is a podcast network company and online news portal aimed at the younger generation

Creative startup and digital-based media "Bingkai Karya" announced the acquisition of pre-initial funding with a nominal value of up to hundreds of millions of Rupiah. Investors participating in the round remained anonymous, only being named from a local company and a non-governmental organization (NGO). Both were attracted by the progressive moves the company had made.

The funds will be used to develop products media properties (MP) and intellectual property (IP) Frame of Work in its entirety prior to heading Web3. Furthermore, developing human resources by recruiting the best talent.

"In accordance with our target in 2022, which can be exponential and can work together outside Indonesia. The closest possibility is to work with Europe for our digital IP and MP development strategy. Therefore, at this time we are trying our best to strengthen the quality of our content, especially the ones in English," said Frame Karya CEO Rizal Rosyadi in an official statement, Monday (2/1).

This startup was started in 2018 with its initial business model as a graphic design and illustration service for MSME social media management in Malang. Then at the end of 2018 it started moving to produce podcast. As it increases podcasts, gradually transformed into network podcasts and an online news portal aimed at the younger generation.

Counted, the company has developed six channels podcast, including Frames of Sound (2018), Enpacking Podcast (2019), Chromatica Podcast (2020), Before and at 30's (2020), Frames of Girls (2020), and Frames of Science (2021). The vision of the Frame Karya podcast network is to become a medium podcast that educates, entertains, and engages listeners.

As a result, the Frame Karya podcast network is now trusted by several brands, local, national and international artists to carry out promotions. “At that time, we already wanted to focus on market southeast Asia. So in terms of Branding, treatment commercial, and we have changed the curation according to international media target market standards.”

Entering its fourth year, Frame Karya presents news in two languages, namely Indonesian and English on its website and social media. The news presented is about climate change, the environment, and things that are happening in Asia. The news was then published on Instagram Frame Karya.

In addition, the company is expanding to the world EdTech by releasing an audio-based learning application called Everheard.
