Kinobi Reportedly Receives Advanced Funding Led by Binus Group

Kinobi is a startup provider of career management portals for universities and companies

Job-seeking startup "Kinobi" reportedly pocketed further funding from PT Binus Investama Indonesia, an entity part of the Binus Group. According to sources DailySocial.id, this round is worth $547 thousand (over 8,5 billion Rupiah).

The funding was attended by a number of investors, such as Backstroke Consulting, and individual investors, namely Wong Chee Weng, Natasha Foong (Advisor Kinobi), Bernard Gunawan Hadipoespito (CEO of Bina Nusantara), and Roy Sim Yu Jie.

If this information is confirmed to be accurate, then Kinobi will become the second startup to receive funding from PT Binus Investama, after CoLearn. Funding provided is a series A . round worth $17 million at the beginning of this year.

Kinobi is a startup that provides career management portals for universities and companies. The aim is to help universities prepare students' careers fresh graduates. Kinobi provides features such as CV builder, cover letter builder designed to help shape their competencies.

Kinobi was founded in May 2020 by Benjamin Wong (CEO), Joshua Phua (CTO), Hafiz Kasman (COO). The company claims to have collaborated with more than 200 universities in Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam. A number of collaborations have been carried out with universities in Indonesia, including ITS, ITB, UNPAD and UNAIR.

The main features offered are CV builder or an AI-based CV maker application. This application can help students to create a CV in a format that is in accordance with the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Kinobi's career portal also has features jobportal, the university can upload job vacancies that can only be accessed by its students. This will certainly make it easier for universities that have collaborated with companies in providing job vacancies.
