The first international acquisition after opening an office in Vietnam last March

NusaTrip announced the acquisition of a B2B travel accommodation startup called VLeisure with an undisclosed nominal value. It is hoped that the VLeisure solution, which serves small to medium-sized hotels, can expand the scope of services and reach of NusaTrip outside Indonesia, as well as take advantage of the growth momentum of the travel industry in Southeast Asia, which has started to rise significantly after the pandemic.

VLeisure is NusaTrip's first international acquisition after last month open a third regional office in Vietnam.

The Founder of Society Pass who also serves as CEO of NusaTrip Dennis Nguyen explained, VLeisure is very integrated and in line with NusaTrip's strategy. There is a combination of NusaTrip's strong aviation B2B technology and breadth of B2C operations with VLeisure's extensive hotel management inventory.

“As a Vietnamese, I am very proud to continue funding and supporting Vietnam's startup sector through this acquisition of VLeisure. "I believe that Vietnamese entrepreneurs will continue to be an example for other Southeast Asian countries, an easy example is Phan Le," he said in an official statement, Friday (14/4).

Founder and Managing Director of VLeisure Phan Le added that he was honored to be able to join SoPa ecosystem and NusaTrip. Through rapid growth in 2021-2022, the company can access support from the parent, be it capital infrastructure, technology, marketing and customer service, allowing VLeisure to serve better.

"VLeisure's travel planning, booking capabilities, hotel technology expertise can complement NusaTrip's existing travel services to provide a more personalized user experience," explained Phan.

After this acquisition, Phan was appointed Managing Director of NusaTrip Vietnam. Significant experience and knowledge in Vietnam's travel sector is expected to create attractive travel services, meeting the demands of Vietnamese tourists.
