DOKU New Chapter, Intensifying Financial Solutions for MSMEs

Officially launched Juragan DOKU to make it easier for MSMEs to manage online and offline payment transactions

Provider payment gateway DOKU officially introduces the DOKU skipper financial solution to accelerate the business of MSME players. Doku's skipper is also a marker of the company's new focus to pursue continued growth this year.

In the launch event, DOKU CEO Chris Yeo said that for 16 years the company has focused on serving the corporate segment. He said the MSME segment was part of DOKU's business transformation from payment gateway become a payment technology company.

Throughout 2022, DOKU claims to have processed 145 million transactions with transaction volume growing 80% compared to the previous year. DOKU has partnered with 150.000 merchants payment gateway from 18 business categories and more than 5 million users e-wallet.

"DOKU has always positioned itself [as] beyond payment. We are happy that all of you have supported DOKU and are part of the next new chapter of DOKU," said Chris in Jakarta, Monday (3/7).

Juragan DOKU is an application-based solution that offers a way to accept payments for businesses on social media or social sellers. The application is available for Android and iOS devices. His party said that there were already 10.000 MSMEs joining the DOKU skipper.

Juragan DOKU enables MSME actors to manage financial transactions both through direct online and offline payments with a number of features, among others payment link, E-Catalog, QRIS, to instant checkout. His party also provides assistance programs to MSME partners.

The presence of Juragan DOKU is targeted to expand the customer base social sellers with the various availability of payment methods, it does not only drive the number of successful transactions.

In an interview with DailySocial.id recently, Chris revealed that social sellers menjadi growth targets next company. According to him, the need for financial services for MSMEs is still very large, especially those selling on more than one social media platform.

In addition to large room for growth, market expansion is also part of DOKU's efforts to strengthen its position as a leader payment gateway in Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region.

Based on data ministry of cooperatives and SMEs last year, only 26,5% of the total 65 million MSMEs in Indonesia were connected to the digital ecosystem. The government is currently boosting the digitalization of MSMEs in line with the increasing penetration of online shopping.
