Logisly, a New Startup Determined to Change the Logistics Transport Business Map

Make it easier for companies to find transportation trucks according to their needs

The inefficiency that is often entrenched in logistics industry encourage the birth of Logisly. The new startup was created not only to make it easier for goods owners to find transport trucks, but also to expedite the flow of transactions in the logistics business which is known to be slow.

Logisly has been operating since April 2019 as an application for providing various types of haul trucks. It was only on Wednesday (31/7) afternoon that they officially introduced their products to the public.

Roolin Njotosetiadi is the CEO and founder logically. The woman, who previously worked as Kudo's Head of Product, said that Logisly's technology allows truck entrepreneurs to get clients much easier through the system they created.

"Often trucks run unloaded or on pool only, did not get order. Many of the management in SME trucking companies are still manual," said Roolin.

The types of trucks available on the Logisly platform range from vans, trailers, trontons, to flatbeds/reefers. In total they claim to have provided 5000 trucks from hundreds of transport partners

Although at first glance it resembles a GoBox, Logisly does not play in the individual consumer market at all, but in the market business to business (B2B). They also do not use a profit-sharing or commission system like competitors.

Roolin said that his party was profiting from the cost margin they got from shipper and transporters so that they can still make a profit even though the service is free.

"It could also be from premium services where we can provide route optimization for trucks that have multi-destinations to be efficient," said Roolin giving an example.

From the trucking perspective, Logisly's presence is considered significant because it makes it easier for truckers to find clients so that their vehicles will not be idle for long. Logisly also guarantees payment within two days. which is often the cost of new trucking services paid after 14-30 days of delivery is complete.

While from the point of view shipper, Logisly's service is also called making it easier to find trucks as needed to make it easier to check documents proof of delivery (POD).

And citing the trend of the logistics industry, last year this sector was worth Rp. 797,3 trillion and is predicted to grow 11,56 percent to Rp. 889,4 trillion. Of these large markets, Roolin targets to add transportation partners to 1.000 and attract 1.000 shippers.

"The truck is still not 1 percent, the opportunity is still big and the journey is still long," concluded Roolin.
