Keyboard Application for MSME Keyta Gets Initial Funds from the Indonesia Women Empowerment Fund

The Keyta keyboard application was founded by Jacqueline Latip and Ainul Hamdani with the main function of making it easier for online sellers to optimize their productivity.

Keyboard app for MSME Keyta announced the acquisition of an undisclosed amount of initial funding from the Indonesia Women Empowerment Fund (IWEF). Keyta is one of the graduates of the third batch of Startup Studio Indonesia incubation. Apart from Keyta, players in this sector include Selly owned by GoTo.

IWEF is a fund co-managed by Moonshot Ventures and YCAB Ventures that invests in women-led startups with innovations that overcome barriers to better livelihoods for women. At the beginning of the year, IWEF has provided funding for edtech startups Smart Point.

Keyta founded by Jacqueline Latip and Ainul Hamdani with the main function of making it easier for online sellers to optimize their productivity. Its excellent features include autotext templates for replying to messages, courier charge checking, invoice printing, and dashboards for management of all transactions.

Adelle Tanuri, Head of Impact Investments YCAB Ventures, and Tom Schmittzehe, Managing Partner of Moonshot Ventures, who jointly lead IWEF, said:

“Under the leadership of Jacqueline Latip as CEO and founder, Keyta has created innovations that make it easier for small businesses to sell online, where the majority of MSMEs are run and owned by women. This is very much in line with IWEF's mission to support women entrepreneurs and promote better livelihoods for women across Indonesia."

It is claimed that Keyta now has more than 6000 users, which are dominated by women entrepreneurs of MSMEs. The company also claims user growth of up to 300% since June 2021.

The MSME sector is one of the attractive sectors targeted by Indonesian productivity startups this year. Several SaaS startups have reached a valuation of $100 million or more with solutions to propel Indonesian MSMEs to the top.

Keyta's Founder and CEO Jacqueline Latip said, "Keyta's mission is to reduce the barriers for small businesses to grow and thrive in the digital economy. Until recently, online sellers needed to switch between multiple applications and this whole process was very time consuming. [..] Users Keyta operates their online sales 3 or 4 times faster, and is able to provide much better customer service."
