Investree Books 213 Billion Rupiah Funds from Accial Capital, Opening Series C2

The latest funding round will consist of debt and equity; targeted for completion in Q1 2021

Startups p2p loans Investree announces earnings “debt funding” amounting to $15 million (more than IDR213 billion) from debt investor Accial Capital. Confirmed directly to DailySocial, this is part of the ongoing round of the C2 series.

Investree Co-Founder & CEO Adrian Gunadi explained that the C2 series funding is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year. In this round, Investree targets to be able to pocket funds consisting of debt and equity.

"We're chasing debt funding until the end of this year. There's another one coming soon closed. The [C2 Series Round] may be completed in Q1 2021," he explained, Friday (13/11).

Previous, C1 series has been announced in April 2020 with a total acquisition of $23,5 million led by MUIP (a venture subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group) and BRI Ventures. Other participating investors are SBI Holdings and 9F Fintech Holdings Group.

Adrian continued, the company's relationship with Accial Capital actually started in 2017 as a company channeling. Now, further strengthened by funding debt. Accial also joined as one of the Actioncalendar institutions at Investree. In addition to Investree, Accial also provides debt funding to CloudCash announced in July 2020.

"Let's start channeling [with Accial], now deepened with debt funding because apart from Indonesia there are plans to go to the Philippines and Thailand. So funding this is for Investree Group, not only Investree Indonesia.”

In an official statement, it was explained that Accial Capital in 2017 partnered to fund a sub-segment of the SME loan portfolio. This credit facility provided by Accial Capital will provide financing to more Indonesian SMEs through Investree's various loan portfolios, including: invoice financing, buyer financing, working capital term loansand online seller financing.

Accial Capital CIO Michael Shum explained, Investree is the company's first investment in Indonesia and he is impressed with the developments and progress they have made since the first time in 2017.
