Expanding Business Segmentation, IDN Media Immediately Launches "Fortune Indonesia" Channel

An extension of Fortune Global based in New York; will also present "Fortune Rankings" content with a local nuance

Seeing the still minimal number of users from the business segment, IDN Media, which has been wanting to become a one stop media platform and aims to build a complete ecosystem, soon to launch "Fortune Indonesia". The plan is that the new channel will be officially released in the third quarter of this year.

To DailySocial, IDN Media Co-Founder & CEO Winston Utomo said Fortune Indonesia is expected to reach the general segment who are interested in knowing more about information developments in business categories such as market, economy, technology, sharia, and several others.

"Speaking of age targets are quite diverse, because we want to target those who fall into categories such as executives, decision maker, including aspiring leaders or professional aspiring."

Founded in New York in 1929, Fortune is the world's leading business media focused on magazines, websites and conference series. Since its inception, Fortune has been considered successful in maintaining quality, accuracy, and transparency in all of its information delivery. For Fortune Indonesia, users will be able to enjoy this content on digital platforms, magazines, as well as various event agendas.

"Later we will place dedicated team from IDN Media who is responsible for managing all existing content and activities," said Winston.

Fortune Indonesia will also create its own ranking category. This category is inspired by the legendary Fortune Rankings, such as Fortune 500, World's 50 Greatest Leaders, Fortune 40 under 40, 100 Best Companies to Work for, 100 Fastest Growing Companies, Most Powerful Woman, and many more.

IDN Media's pandemic and business growth

Related to other IDN Media business verticals such as IDN Programmatic OOH, IDN Appand IDN Pictures, according to Winston, is still growing but experiencing obstacles during the pandemic. Each business is still running, but has a fairly varied focus and development.

"For IDN Pictures, we are currently still producing films, but due to the pandemic, we are having problems with the release schedule," said Winston.

However, because it has two business models, to Branded content at IDN Pictures is claimed to continue to get demand which is quite high, especially from among advertisers. Meanwhile for IDN Programmatic OOH, the pandemic has also hampered the growth of these services and is still far from the company's expectations. For this reason, the company decided to focus on product and technology development.

"After launching Fortune Indonesia, we do not have plans to launch other products or services in the near future. Our focus is still on increasing the growth of the IDN App," concluded Winston.
