Etanee Decides to Speed Up Expansion Plans

Expanding to Bogor, Depok, Cibubur, South Jakarta, and the city of Bandung

Etanee, one of the startups serving the delivery of agricultural materials/products, is entering the next phase in its position as a business. Growing and developing is an obligation as a startup, and now they are ready to accelerate the pace of business growth.

Etanee's party explained that there were some important changes in the organization. In the initial phase, Etanee only accommodates Supply Chain Management for frozen meat products, now they serve wholesale and retail purchases with a more complete category. Includes fruit, vegetables, meat, cooking spices, and dry basic necessities.

They also claim to be building an ecosystem demand in the form of an agent or drop shipper community based retail fresh produce. This method was taken with the hope that it could have a social impact because with this model the sharing of the economy is getting more massive.

"As of now, number of registered users We are more than 10 thousand, with more than 2 thousand monthly active users and are already present in Greater Jakarta and Bandung," explained Co-Founder & COO Etanee Herry Nugraha.

Accelerate expansion and plans fundraising

Etanee is one of the startups that experiencing a surge in demand in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. With a commitment to be able to reach more users, Etane decided to expand its coverage area, covering Bogor, Depok, Cibubur, South Jakarta, and the city of Bandung. The plan is that by the end of April, Etanee has reached all of DKI Jakarta and South Tangerang.

"The immediate effect that Etanee felt during the Covid-19 pandemic was an increase demand very high and produce growth organic 3x month on month. Therefore, we are actually doing a faster expansion during this isolation period in order to support the government and help the community to provide food availability through mechanisms order online and home delivery," continued Harry.

In Indonesia, one industry that is likely to change after this pandemic is the service of purchasing products or food ingredients from farmers. Direct distribution to users and reaching out to farmers in areas more or less started to make this industry more mature in the midst of increasing demand as it is today.

Other players in this sector such as TaniHub, Freshbox, Sayurbox, KedaiSayur, and others seem to have rearranged strategies to meet the surge in demand. Like TaniHub for example, which earlier this month received funding worth 285 billion which is planned to be used for expansion and building automation systems.
