Doogether Raises Pre-Series A Funding, Soon to Release New Service

Obtained from Asiantrust Capital, Prasetia Dwidharma, Alexander Rusli, and others

Doogether, a startup playing in the segment wellness, announced the acquisition of pre-series A funding with an undisclosed amount from Asiantrust Capital, Prasetia Dwidharma, Alexander Rush, and others. The fresh funds will be used for the development of optimization, innovation, and improvement of products and services.

Prasetia Dwidharma was the previous Doogether investor who entered the round early stage in April 2019. Likewise Alexander Rusli who entered the previous round again. In the initial round it was led by Gobi the Great, supported by Everhaus, Prasetia, and Cana Asia.

In an official statement, Doogether Co-Founder & CEO Fauzan Gani expressed his gratitude to the ranks of investors who participated in this round. "The series of funding received by Doogether will be used for optimization, innovation, and improvement of products and services offered by the company or its applications," he said, Tuesday (27/4).

Doogether is a number of startup verticals that have received blessings from the pandemic. Since WFH policy, Doogether released gym class online through live streaming, Doolive in April 2020. Active users grew 77-fold from early 2020 to Q1 2021. The service has hosted more than 80 hours of gym class sessions.

“I applaud the Doogether team for seeing an opportunity during a pandemic and quickly making adjustments to the business model. It's not easy to see an opportunity in these difficult times, but Doogether managed to do it,” added Alexander Rusli who now serves at Doogether as Advisor.

In order to maintain this performance, the company plans to make virtual sports activities together on a regular basis to encourage people to stay active in sports. Doolive is also available for free containing dozens of workout videos.

Operating since 2016, Doogether has two main products, namely Doofit for ordering sports classes, and Doofood for ordering healthy catering in collaboration with dozens of vendors and in accordance with users' personal health goals.

Currently the company has collaborated with more than 350 sports studios, trainers, which is located in Greater Jakarta, Bandung, and Bali. The sports classes offered are more than 30 thousand classes, such as zumba, Boxing, barre, yoga, bootcamp, wall climbing, ice skating, and others.
