Wellness Startup “DOOgether” Receives Additional Pre-Series A Funds, Increases Offline Sports Locations

In August 2022, the company introduced DOOspace as an offline health and wellness space

Startups that play in the segment wellness DOOgether announced the acquisition of additional pre-series A funds with an undisclosed amount. This round is presided over by Living Lab Ventures (an affiliate of the Sinarmas Land Group) and Aldo Henry Artoko (CEO of PT Arkora Hydro Tbk), followed by previous investors, namely Asiantrust Capital, Prasetya Dwidharma, and others.

These two existing investors previously participated in the announced first stage round in April 2021. Alexander Rusli (former CEO of Indosat) also participated in this round.

This fresh fund will later be used by the company to increase the number of DOOspace, health and fitness rooms offline, up to six points in the third quarter of 2023. The locations will be spread across the Jabodetabek area, one of which is in BSD City.

DOOgether Co-founder and CEO Fauzan Gani said that his party was proud because they had built a strong, sustainable business that had survived the pandemic and economic turmoil. However, looking at the current data, he believes that activity online will continue to play an important role in the health and fitness industry, especially to meet the demands of the sports community.

According to the data he quoted, the health and fitness industry that he is involved in is worth $36,4 billion in Indonesia, and is expected to grow 7,9% annually.

The company launched DOOspace to meet demand and assist fitness facility partners who are struggling due to the ongoing situation. Through DOOspace, the company supports fitness facility partners who sign on as operators, assisting rebranding all of its facilities become DOOspace by DOOgether.

Fauzan continued, DOOspace supports fitness facility partners who are going through a critical period due to the pandemic by becoming facility operators, bringing in well-known experts from the sports industry, standardizing the quality of the fitness facility customer experience, and ensuring the growth of the fitness facility business.

"Partners will also benefit from our well-established digital ecosystem, from directing cross-users from our applications to fitness facilities, to demographic data and sports trends in their region," said Fauzan.

DOOspace offers a health and wellness space for communities to come together, has a wide selection of sports, from zumba, pilates, yoga, muay thai, swimming, and strength and muscle training. This service has been introduced to the public since August 2022 with its first location in Senopati, Jakarta.

The company itself has been started since 2016. DOOgether started with its product called DOOfit, which provides online and offline sports class booking services to fitness facilities in more than 350 sports facilities, trainers and communities in Greater Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali. The sports classes offered reach more than 30 thousand classes, such as zumba, boxing, barre, yoga, bootcamp, wall climbing, and many more. Not only that, there are also free exercise videos available on the site.
