Astra Appreciates the 2023 Astranauts Winners from the Startup and Student Pathways

Astra announced the awarding of awards to three students and three startups as winners of digital and technology innovation competitions Astranauts 2023. This opportunity was held in conjunction with the 2023 Astranauts Demo Day & Awarding event which was attended by Astra Directors, judges and mentors.

Astranauts, which has entered its second year, has the theme "Building A Sustainable Future Through Technology" as one of the concrete forms of Astra's initiatives to support the development of digital innovation for startups and students in Indonesia, as well as responding to current business and technology challenges.

These Astranauts winners have sparked innovative ideas in the field sustainability, edutech, emerging tech, health, agribusiness, mobility, fintech, logisticsand new media.

"As a form of Astra's support for Indonesia's digital economy, Astra has initiated Astranauts since 2022 to further encourage digital innovation for startups and students in Indonesia in responding to business and technology challenges and having a positive impact on Indonesia in a sustainable manner," said Astra Director Santosa when reading his remarks. Astranauts Demo Day & Awarding 2023

During the screening period, Astra collected more than 900 innovative ideas from 2.200 applicants. After going through the curation stage, 23 finalists were selected consisting of 12 startups and 11 students. They all had mentorship sessions with experts from various industries for two weeks, as well as presented business concepts and innovation ideas before the Directors of Astra in a series of Demo Day events.

After going through a series of judging stages, three winners were selected for each in the startup and student pathways, namely:

Startup Path 1st place: Fazpass 2nd place: Blitz Electric Mobility 3rd place: One Hundred Percent Indonesian Children

Student Track 1st place: Karla Bionics 2nd place: Moona 3rd place: MyECO

Winners from the startup route will receive a prize of IDR 100 million for the first winner, IDR 70 million for the second winner, and IDR 40 million for the third winner. Meanwhile for the student route, the winner will receive a prize of IDR 40 million for the first winner, IDR 30 million for the second winner, and IDR 20 million for the third winner.

Not only that, Astra also gave two new award categories to participants, namely Favorite Fans: finalists who managed to attract the public's attention based on the results of voting conducted through websiteand Out of the Box: finalist who succeeded in coming up with a new and unique idea based on the jury's assessment which was carried out on Demo Day.

Finally, Kawancara was chosen as the winner Favorite Fans and Loving Group, and Speakapp as winners Out of the Box. Then, all finalists will have the opportunity to take part in the Astra InnovLab incubation program, and become part of the Astra Startup Community, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with the Astra Group.

In closing, held Astranauts Conference 2023 with a variety of inspirational topics that will be attended by more than 25 tech leaders, industry leaders, and regulators to share interesting insights in nine areas of assessment. This event was held today (8/6) at Menara Astra, Jakarta.
