Assumption Launches "InLive", Live Streaming Application Development Infrastructure Service

InLive offers API infrastructure, examples, documentation, and tutorials for live streaming application development

Starting as a media company with the main product of digital content themed on politics and the dynamics of urban life, Assumption is increasingly developing innovations to support their core business. The company has just launched "InLive", the service infrastructure live streaming aimed at companies in Indonesia.

InLive is an API-based SaaS product. This solution offers infrastructure live streaming which can be controlled personally without server settings and without the need for installation. This service offers a subscription structure ranging from 400 thousand to 2 million Rupiah per month to enjoy every convenience and available device.

After booking funding pre seed last September 2020, the company founded by Prince Siahaan also won advanced funding from East Ventures at the end of 2021. This new initiative is a follow-up to the use of capital that has been injected since the company's inception.

Live Streaming itself has become an integral medium to reach the audience, especially during the pandemic. This innovation allows a person or brand to establish and maintain communication real-time with all types of audiences. Being in a virtual space, live streaming has no geographic boundaries, allowing interaction from all parts of the world. However, its development did not escape complexity.

In order to simplify the process, InLive offers examples, documentation, and tutorials for developers to create apps live streaming themselves. This product focuses on the developer's experience with technology streaming the latest low latency, at an affordable price, and without complicated server setups. InLive will take care of all the complex technical requirements while developers can focus on building their apps.

InLive CTO Yohan Totting explained that, “To drive innovation in the industry live streaming, we need to make it accessible to everyone by making it more affordable. With this way, 'hackers' indie and small startups will come up with new ideas and open more use cases in streaming direct."

InLive Ecosystem

Assumption CEO Pangeran Siahaan also revealed, "InLive will provide Assumption with new opportunities and business lines that are different from what we did before. While our content and media operations will continue to create and publish quality content as usual, with InLive we want to take advantage of the technology side of the industry. It's a different product and a different business model. We're really excited about this."

Future plan

When asked about the impact of Covid-19, Prince said that the industry live streaming popular like game or shopping on line --- already had a strong base even before the pandemic and is predicted to increase further in the years to come.

"Our mission at InLive is to unlock more potential in the live streaming by making it accessible to everyone to build use cases that may have never been thought of before."

In addition, collaboration becomes very important for a business model like this. This year, the company targets to develop use case in 5 different sectors. To date, the company has established two sustainable partnerships in the industry E-commerce and Esports. Going forward, InLive wants to reach companies that want to take advantage of the service live streaming namely in sectors such as edutech, sports, finance, etc.
