Alodokter Receives Investment from Marubeni Corporation, Acquires the Bunda Diary Platform

Startups healthtech Alodokter announced the acquisition of an investment with an undisclosed nominal value from Marubeni Corporation. At the same time, the company also acquired a subsidiary of the investor, Diary Bunda, a pregnancy monitoring application.

According to the company's official statement submitted today (05/7), this acquisition is part of Alodokter's strategic steps to realize its mission of strengthening the range of health services, which aims to improve the digital health care experience for mothers and expectant mothers throughout Indonesia. All important information and health care services they need are presented in one application.

"Mother's Diary has proven to provide a pleasant experience during pregnancy which is complete with a large user base, making Mother's Diary the perfect addition to Alodokter's health care portfolio," said Alodokter's Co-founder and President Director, Suci Arumsari.

Explained further, Diary Bunda has gained significant popularity among Indonesian mothers, providing them with personalized pregnancy and baby growth monitoring tools, including educational content and community forums. Suci hopes that this acquisition will further strengthen Alodokter's position as the market leader in digital health solutions, especially women's and children's health.

Suci said, in the future the company plans to fully integrate Alodokter's features and services into the Diary Bunda application, in order to create an integral and unified experience for its users.

As part of the integration, Alodokter is working to improve and expand the features already available on Diary Bunda, ensuring that the application remains a reliable and comprehensive resource for the Indonesian mother community.
