AC Ventures Creates Educational Program for Early Stage Startup Founders

ACV Academy is completely accessible for free, based on an exponential learning model

Venture capital company AC Ventures (ACV) launched an educational platform for founder a technology startup in a developing country called "ACV Academy". This suite of training programs is available free of charge, designed to take the early-stage technology ecosystem to a new level of knowledge.

“We are delighted to be launching ACV Academy. It filters takeaways We have learned from investing in more than 120 companies over the last ten years,” said Adrian Li, Fonder & Managing Partner of AC Ventures in an official statement, Thursday (3/10).

Adrian continued, since the beginning of this year ACV starts mission who dared to provide direct guidance and support to their portfolio of companies in Indonesia. ACV positions itself as a technology investment company that offers devices value to his portfolio.

The basic idea behind this move is, if ACV can help its portfolio achieve operational excellence from the start, then they can move on to better leverage their next funding round. In the end, they can continue to achieve greater success in the market and find scenarios exit which means.

Based on the ethos of “Exponential Learning”, ACV Academy seeks to help more tech startups in the region achieve healthy traction and scale afterward.

At the same time, AC Ventures also launched a module, a guidebook for startup founders entitled Refining Recruitment for Startups. This book was co-authored with global management consultancy and executive search firm, Egon Zehnder.

Running an early-stage company is a challenge and finding the most suitable talent is one of the biggest hurdles, especially in emerging markets. This handbook is designed as a roadmap for startup founders who need to educate themselves on the overall hiring process.

This module contains five sections, namely 'Preparation', 'Start the search', 'Make the decision', 'Onboarding', and 'Ongoing engagement via team building'. The book also features interesting anecdotes and testimonials from some of the founders of the AC Ventures portfolio. The entire content can serve as an ongoing reference tool as tech company founders build their teams.

“The lessons provided and this published handbook are created by veteran employers and operators on key execution strategies, including today's recruitment models. We are happy to see ACV Academy growing forward and providing unique value to its own people,” said Adrian.

In launching ACV Academy, the company made activities webinar featuring Sergio Salvador (Chief People Officer Carsome) and Zhafira Loebis (Consultant Egon Zehnder). Both have a wealth of experience in recruiting and team building at tech startups.

Salvador said he had witnessed several times and firsthand, what it took to grow a business from a small team to a big team. He also supports the initiatives taken by ACV through the presence of ACV Academy.
