Tulungin Wants To Be A Solution Provider For The Search For Tech-Based Workman Services

Technology adoption that continues to grow in Indonesia has succeeded in triggering various new services to grow, one of which is on-demand. Tulungin is a startup initiated by Fandi Setiawan, Nathan Harry, and Calvin Ng Tjioe, assisted by Yosef Samuel and Lorenz Basuki. Tulungin himself is currently a member of the business startup program owned by Binus.

Basically, the Tulungin service seeks to assist users in finding the right person to solve the problem of damage to goods, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, to small or large repairs on houses such as leaking roofs. Currently, Tulungin itself is still in the beta and still under development.

Tulungin Co-Founder Calvin Ng Tjoe said, “Tulungin is an application to help customer get the best handyman services. For now we still beta, so the service is also not running at all. However, we plan to provide all carpentry services such as air conditioning, plumbing, [repair] roofs, and others [on the Tulungin platform].”

“We developed this [Tulungin] because of our own experience which is often difficult to find a trustworthy handyman. We are often lied to about prices which are always unclear. […]We are not marketplace, so we will be solution providers, where customers no more filtering and selecting,” added Calvin.

Regarding the price, the average rate charged for repair services is currently IDR 100.000. The price does not include damaged parts that must be replaced.

As for the price outside of repairs, such as the installation of air conditioning, it is much more varied. For the installation of the air conditioner itself is currently charged Rp. 300.000.

Calvin himself hopes that, if there are no significant obstacles, the plan is that Tulungin will soon be launched in the middle of this year so that it can be fully accessed by the public.
