Please Aim for the Mobile-Based "Hyperlocal Service Marketplace" Segment in Indonesia

Still in the private beta stage, plans to cooperate with the Bandung government to support the smart city program

The ever-increasing movement of technology adoption is one of the triggers for the service on-demand economy which is now starting to crawl to the surface. Met in Jakarta (5/1), Co-Founder of Pleasein Tomy Malewa told that the presence of the Selamatin service departed from anxiety over the Jakarta-Centric phenomenon and the current unequal economic activity between the capital and regions. Tomy emphasized that in the midst of the current digital era, technology should be a tool to help optimize economic activities in the surrounding environment.

Tomy said, “We are currently collecting as much data as possible to see what services are the most [searched by users]. […] If you talk The roadmap, it already exists long [implementation machine learning, analytics data for digital advertising, up to payment gateway independent]."

“Regarding monetization, we still haven't thought about it. [...] This service can be used for free [if it is launched], anyone can join as a service provider. [...] We want to focus on developing technology infrastructure first to provide the best product service to users later,” he added.

Plans to work with local government to support smart city program

Another plan after Pleasein launches to the public is to open up the possibility to cooperate with local governments. The Bandung government is planned to be the first city to be approached in establishing cooperation. In the future, said Tomy, it is also possible to cooperate with other local governments as long as they have a vision to become a smart city.

Currently Help is developed by a team of five people, including Tomy. Four of them are domiciled in the city of Bandung.
