It is believed that this solution will be a new breakthrough in the world of digital advertising, which so far has not been able to describe what it is like “real conversion” in this world offline.

“This platform will live in this first quarter. What is certain is that this will happen breakthrough because digital advertising has always measured impressions, brand awareness Usually there is no problem because there are various social media. Real conversion to communities that don't exist yet," he said TipTip Founder & CEO Albert Lucius during a media gathering in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/1).

Albert gave an example, a camera brand that launches a new product can now advertise digitally or look for specific camera communities in certain locations. In the soon-to-be-released platform, owners brand who can determine their own community targets, starting from age, income and location.

“So you can do it straight away activation. We don't fight awareness [like social media in general] because this is where we play on activation-his."

Since its introduction in the fourth quarter of 2023, there have been 15 brand Locals are already taking advantage of this solution. Albert targets at least by the end of 2024 to attract 75 brand. The monetization model in this solution is B2B, meaning that when a business agreement occurs between companies, activation will be carried out according to the desired campaign.

Previously, TipTip had two business models to generate income, everything is commission based. First, through digital content sold by all content creators, around 10% of sales will go as commission. Second, through the system ticketing with commissions starting from 3%-5% for communities or content creators who want to create offline/online events.

"Everything win win. Event listings and the content on TipTip is free, commission will only be withdrawn when there is a purchase from consumers."

He continued, “Community gathering activities have been around since before TipTip existed. What we are doing is just modernizing the process to make it neater. If there are only 10 community members, it won't be a problem, but it will be a problem if there are hundreds. "We are digitizing the process so that the audit is clear and how much income creators get."

Cancel expansion to the Philippines and Vietnam

At the same time, Albert also confirmed that he would cancel expansion plans to the Philippines and Vietnam this year. According to him, the digital creator industry in Indonesia still has a wide area that can be exploited, TipTip's business achievements have also grown positively over the past year.

It was revealed that TipTip has more than 500 thousand users with monthly growth of between 20%-30%, and has attracted 25 thousand communities and creators spread across 250 cities throughout Indonesia. Then, transaction volume reached tens of billions of Rupiah, growing steadily at 30% per month.

“In terms of users and business, we continue to grow. That's why we focus on Indonesia first because the market is very large. We also estimate that players like us are just TipTip."

The company will deepen its business penetration outside Jakarta, entering second and third tier cities. So far, marketing in Jakarta is too full, so there needs to be a change in strategy for each brand, especially if they want to attract the community. Community gathering activities have also become more intense after this pandemic.

To support this plan, Albert admitted that his party would raise a new round. TipTip last raised Series A funding of $13 million in December 2022 led by East Ventures.

"Objective fundraising do this solidify TipTip business, the hope is that people will want to join in event community can be searched via TipTip.”
