Brambang Agritech Startup Introduces "ReadyToEat", Ready-to-Cook Food Ordering Service

Having been present since 2017 and offering products of shallots, chilies, potatoes, and other kitchen needs, the platform agritech Onion is now starting to colonize other product lines. Newly launched is the ready-to-eat food delivery service "ReadyToEat".

To DailySocial, Founder & CEO of Brambang Dustin Haliman said, the company saw an opportunity to present ReadyToEat as a practical food solution in the midst of busyness.

"These days a lot of people don't have time to cook at home. Go eat out or delivered (delivery) is not necessarily practical and ideal. ReadyToEat products can be stored in the refrigerator, ready at any time, and allow consumers to enjoy great food without the hassle of cooking."

Currently Brambang's ReadyToEat service is only available in Jakarta, Depok, South Tangerang, Bekasi and Bekasi Regency (only South Cikarang and South Tambun sub-districts). To ensure that the quality of food is properly monitored, Brambang does not use the concept cloud kitchen. All production is carried out directly at central kitchen theirs.

"Current conditions make everyone vigilant, including in choosing food, that's what encourages Brambang's Kitchen to present ReadyToEat food so that people don't have to worry when they want to eat it," said Dustin.

Ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat food delivery services that have previously been present include: Cooklab, Homemade, Kulin, GorryGourmet and Yummybox.

The pandemic drives the acceleration of new services

One of the supporting factors for Brambang to later launch ReadyToEat services is the pandemic which has encouraged more people to make online purchases online. Although not abandoning its previous products, currently the focus of Brambang is to introduce ReadyToEat services more broadly.

"As is common during a pandemic, many people are transitioning to online shopping online to meet daily needs including the purchase of food products. We at Brambang always innovate to make delicious, quality, and practical food accessible to the public," said Dustin.

It was not stated further what the monetization strategy was and how many active Brambang users were until 2021. However, the company guarantees that all products sold in Brambang have passed an internal quality control process and are shipped with refrigeration facilities to ensure product freshness when received by consumers. To facilitate the purchase process, Brambang has also launched an Android version of the application which can now be downloaded by users.
