Brambang.com Simplifies the Process of Buying and Selling Shallots Online

One of the startups trying to present shallot products is Brambang.com. Brambang.com, which is a special marketplace for buying and selling shallots online, has launched its service with soft launch in May 2017.

This startup founded by Dustin Haliman aims to provide an online trading platform supported by efficient logistics so that the shallot trade that is currently taking place traditionally is faster, easier and cheaper. Brambang.com claims to benefit both the seller and the buyer. Shallots sellers or business people can expand their sales market and buyers can buy shallots easily and cheaply.

“We want to take an important role in increasing the efficiency of trade in Indonesian agricultural products. We started with shallots, considering that the price of shallots is one of the components in the calculation of inflation by Bank Indonesia,” said Dustin Haliman, Founder and CEO of Brambang.com.

Shallots straight from Brebes

So far, we have not received any information about the number of users and sellers who have been involved in Brambang.com. Dustin himself has not disclosed how this service monetization. The focus is currently on ensuring the quality of the goods supplied are up to standard. To control the quality of shallots, Brambang.com is said to directly supply fresh shallots from Brebes.

"According to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture, Brebes Regency produces approximately 400.000 tons of shallots per year, with an estimated number of shallot business players as many as 200.000 people. Brambang is here with the aim of helping them expand their sales market and also provide logistics services that are much more efficient,” said Dustin.

Currently, Brambang.com only serves services in the Greater Jakarta area. To be able to access Brambang.com, users can make transactions through the site on desktop and mobile browsers, buyers can order shallots at Brambang.com in just 4 steps. Starting with determining the amount of weight, getting the price, making payment by transfer or cash deposit, and then the ordered shallots will be delivered the next day. Currently, Brambang does not deliver on Sundays or holidays.
