EKRUT Job Vacancy Platform Acquired by Thai Startup GetLinks

This acquisition enables GetLinks to compete with similar HR-tech platforms in the Indonesian market

Job vacancy platform EKRUT has been acquired by GetLinks, a startup in the field of HR-tech from Thailand based on data reported to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

Launch Deal Street Asia, the data states that EKRUT's shareholders, including East Ventures and Skystar Capital, have transferred their shares to GetLinks Inc, the parent of the talent management platform and job vacancies in Asia.

DailySocial.id has contacted EKRUT management to confirm this. Until this news was published, there had been no response from related parties.

Through this acquisition, it is believed that GetLinks will compete with similar platforms in Indonesia, such as JobStreet and Indeed. GetLinks is a connecting platform talent ecosystem with job opportunities in Asia. Founded in 2015, GetLinks has reached major companies, such as Alibaba, LINE, and Grab.

Meanwhile, EKRUT focuses on connecting potential talent with business needs. While most other services use the job portal concept, EKRUT uses it talent marketplace based data science. Talents register and companies that will look for candidates according to preference.

EKRUT was noted to have won early stage funding from East Ventures in 2017 at which time, many new startups were starting to focus on the HR sector. In 2019, the company again announced pre-series A funding led by Venturra Discovery with the participation of East Ventures, Prasetia Dwidharma, Skystar Capital, Bizreach Inc, and Azure Ventures.

The company has a mission to develop the most efficient technology and services for the recruitment process, both from the HR and applicant side. EKRUT also brought in exes senior engineer Tesla became Chief of Product to lead the team their tech.

Some of the leading technology companies that have installed listing on the EKRUT platform, among others Gojek, Tokopedia, OVO, and RedDoorz.

This trend is likely to continue to grow and demand more talent, driving the need for digital talent in the region.

In Indonesia, there are already many job vacancies that offer recruitment services with different added values. Urbanhire is not only positioning itself as a job vacancy portal, but HR technology and talent solutions, thanks to its strategic partnership with Mercer.

There are several other platforms that operate with a community-based approach. One of them, Atma, who debuted last year, was accompanied funding pre seed from a number of strategic investors. Besides that, there is WePass which received series A funding led by Tiger Global.
