Service Platform "Seekmi" Annexed by Siam Cement Group

This conglomerate company from Thailand will enter the Indonesian market through the synergy of its subsidiary Q-Chang

Platform marketplace Jasa Seekmi was officially annexed by Siam Cement Group (SCG), a conglomerate company from Thailand. This acquisition is targeted to help SCG expand its service provider business on-demand to the Indonesian market.

Seekmi is marketplace services on-demand for various household needs, from house cleaning, laundry, air conditioning, to daily handyman. Seekmi was founded in 2015 and has been operating in eight cities in Indonesia. The number of service provider partners has reached tens of thousands with hundreds of thousands of household customers.

Expansion to Indonesia

With this acquisition, Q-Chang can expand its business penetration into the Indonesian market by targeting the middle class segment which is currently growing in Indonesia.

A number of leading B2B partners that Seekmi has collaborated with include IKEA, Samsung, Panasonic, Coca Cola, Toshiba, and Orang Tua Group. The services offered range from installation, repair and maintenance, to delivery services to their consumers.

Seekmi assesses that the need for household services in Indonesia is still very large. Users of this service also admit that it is difficult to recruit service providers who can be trusted considering that they rarely have licenses or certification to prove their competence and safety.
