Medigo Presents "Smart Clinic", Partnership-Based Health Service Digitization Program (Updated)

Health startup Medigo later this year released a new breakthrough. Named "Klinik Pintar", the company collaborated with the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) to present solutions to common problems often experienced by clinic owners and doctors, especially in terms of primary health care in the era of the National Health Insurance (JKN-BPJS).

"Medigo believes that clinics should be the spearhead of Indonesia's health care system in digitally transforming into a more connected and efficient direction. However, most clinic owners still run their businesses conventionally and most doctors are also still reluctant to switch to digital technology. This is what Medigo wants to solve with the Smart Clinic program," said Medigo Co-founder & CEO Harya Bimo.

Smart Clinic offers a total solution in the form of joint operations through a profit-sharing system with the owner of the primary clinic. This collaboration is in the form of providing technology solutions to digitize business processes and services; standardization solutions; and investment solutions that can help clinic owners grow their businesses and improve value-based care.

"The backbone of the Smart Clinic is an ecosystem built on Medigo to make it easier for patients to access services, make it easier for clinic management to run digital operations, and connect clinics with supporting partners (hospital referral partners, insurance partners, pharmaceutical partners and medical devices, etc.)," ​​Bimo continued.

Clinic Funding

Concept j offered by Medigo to clinics that have successfully passed the verification from IDI and Medigo is in the form of funding. There are two funding models offered, namely to owners of existing clinics and to those who want to build new smart clinics.

In particular, Medigo will provide funding in the form of technology while IDI in this case will monitor all processes and of course supervise the clinic in order to achieve accreditation standards. Although for the initial phase Medigo and IDI only focused on pratama clinics, but to embrace more clinic owners to adopt their clinics into smart clinics, IDI plans to invite investors who are interested in doing a joint venture with the clinic owners.

Medigo party is quite optimistic with Smart Clinic. Because apart from being technology-based that can make operations more effective, the solutions offered are also related to service standardization. Medigo believes that they are here at the right time, in the era of JKN and digital transformation in the health industry.

"In contrast to many digital health application solutions which directly affects consumers or patients, Medigo through the Smart Clinic offers a solution by empowering health facilities or clinics that have become destinations for tens of millions of Indonesians every day. Now, tens of millions of patients who come to this clinic are captive market from Smart Clinic. Bimo targets that his party can build 20 to 30 Smart Clinics and start building Smart Plus Clinics, a solution for main clinics and hospitals that focus on the outpatient practice of specialist doctors. In the near future, it is planned that 2 smart clinics will be built in Bekasi. Meanwhile, the focus of the smart clinic development area is Jabodetabek first.
