Medigo Introduces Integrated Digital Health Services

Has received funding from Venturra Discovery, wants to be a liaison for stakeholders in the health industry

Medigo, a healthcare platform provider startup, officially introduced three solutions for hospitals, clinics, and patients. These three solutions are expected to create an integrated digital ecosystem in the healthcare industry.

To DailySocial, CEO Medigo Harya Bimo expressed his mission to connect the health industry ecosystem (patients, doctors, hospitals, and clinics) with digital technology.

According to him, there are many problems surrounding the health industry in Indonesia, including the unintegrated system of hospitals, clinics, insurance, and stakeholders.stakeholder) others.

The complicated bureaucracy also makes it difficult for patients to gain access to their medical records when they go to a referral hospital. Moreover, the health industry is fairly conventional, when medical records were still written manually.

"For us it's not the patient who is the main problem but provider-new. This industry is very high regulated and closed," said the man who is familiarly called Bimo.

Compared to most startups healthtech which targets the downstream side (patients), Medigo chooses to target the upstream segment (health care providers).

Later the company hopes to be a liaison (healthcare gateway) health services with insurance, banking, pharmaceuticals, to private companies involved in this industry.

Offer integrated healthcare industry solutions

Medigo offers a platform for hospitals to overcome problems in outpatients, such as lengthy and manual administrative processes.

Through this platform, hospitals can manage patient registration, patient queuing and slot systems, and doctor's schedules online.

Furthermore, the Qlinik application is intended for clinics to optimize outpatient management, from registration to doctor's schedule. This application can be downloaded on the Play Store.

Lastly is an application for patients who want to consult, check summarizes, and make payments. This application is connected and customized with the hospital system. Currently the application has not been released to the public.

"We want to provide an experience seamless pattern, including medicine directly delivered to the house. That's why we cooperate with Qasir for Point of Sales and Prosehat for drug delivery," said Bimo.

As of March 2019, Medigo has done with two hospitals (RSPP and RSPJ), more than 100 clinics, and its services have pocketed 100K interactions. This year, Medigo will encourage collaboration with ten hospitals, 500 clinics, and aim for three million transactions.

Medigo recently received funding in Q4 2018 from Venturra Discovery for an undisclosed amount. The Medigo team consists of 27 people including advisors.

"The next big thing"

Bimo believes that digital health services (healthtech) will booming in the future after fintech services. In the last five years the health sector in Indonesia is predicted to triple to $21 billion.

"Indeed for startups healthtech rarely anyone sustained, because the healthcare industry is very high regulated. We are confident that we can grow, moreover there are still tens of thousands of clinics that have not been registered. Currently, we want to strengthen our services in Java and Sumatra," he said.
